Having attained my three-score years and ten, my knees and lower back have convinced me that it's time to (at least) semi-retire. But how can I give up doing what I love? Well, I won't. I like it, I really do. I love going down to the shop in the morning, and spending my days surrounded by the sights, smells, and sounds of a job in progress: Some days it's heavy work, cutting sheet stock up into parts; sometimes it's setting up a machine to run a custom molding; some days it's finishing, hanging doors, or installing hardware.
