We were a family of four and John and Randy made the marquis event of our vacation a perfect day. No better way to spend a day around Durango than getting a first class mountain biking experience and a bit of local history along the way. First rate!!

Durango Mountain Bike Tours is top notch all the way! Jim was our guide and he provided the perfect arrangements for what we were seeking! Jim provided excellent phone and email communications before our ride, provided all the transportation, set us up with the exact type of bikes we asked for, listened to our biking preferences, and provided the perfect day - the kind we could have never done on our own with limited time. My friend and I were in Durango for a brief stop as part of a 7 day road ride in southern CO. We are avid mountain bikers, yet having little experience biking in the Durango

A quick chat with Jim over the phone was all that was needed to get a fantastic day of mountain biking set up. He had the bikes reserved, and suggestions for time and place. He picked us up at the hotel, got us to breakfast, and took into account the weather and our experience before taking us out to Phil's World for a great 3 hours of riding. He set the perfect pace for us, brought extra food, and carried extra water.
Highly recommended if you have limited time and are looking to have someone show you the best the area has to offer, rather than staring at your phone to see which way to turn only

Jim Mackay of Durango Mountain Bike Tours delivered such a great experience! First, there was very good front end communication regarding rider type and preference, logistics of the ride, etc. From there, riding with Jim was a pleasure. Great guy, great rider, perfectly chosen trails and tempo. Exactly what I was looking for. Using a guide was priceless when wanting to ride about 20 miles of the 200 miles accessible via mountain bike from downtown Durango. If you're looking for a great local experience of Durango and their MTB culture, choose Jim and DMBT. He even went out of his way to find me
