What does it mean to pre-wire a new home? Even if you're not ready to install a home theater, house-wide music or other components, pre-wiring your home during construction allows you the flexibility to do so in the future at a lower cost. Is my family room too small for a big screen TV? With the High Definition picture quality available now, you can fit larger screens in smaller rooms.
Occasionally, Total Home Technology will have items that have been ordered and not used for a certain job. Rather than keep those items in our inventory, we offer them to our customers at reduced prices! Installation can also be arranged for these items if needed. One of the most common problems in designing a home theater system is how to incorporate large equipment into a room's layout. Subtle design features can easily become overpowered by big equipment, especially small detailed items. For instance, there is an optimum height range for a seated person to view the screen to avoid strain or uncomfortable viewing positions.
Total Home Technology sells and installs DIRECTV(R) satellite systems in Ames, Des Moines, and Central Iowa. Our installers will completely install your DIRECTV(R) system for you. This includes installing a satellite on your roof, balcony or other location, connecting your receiver to your TV and brief instructions on using your system.
A single source, multi-zone system, means you can have a control for each room for volume. This works well for an open floorplan where different music would conflict. It is good for providing background music for entertaining, and when one of the home's occupants might want quiet while another listens.
