Our hearing assessments are quick, painless, and allow us to comprehensively test your hearing in less than 20 minutes. We take our balance for granted, that's until we have problems with it. Sensory information about motion, equilibrium, and spatial orientation is provided by your vestibular apparatus that lives in each of your ears.

Since then, we've helped thousands of local people to improve their hearing care and prolong their hearing quality. Our story dates to 1976 when audiologist and Major Steven W. Morris was serving in the US Army, caring for the hearing of our troops. Upon leaving, he founded Acadian Hearing & Speech Services in Lake Charles.

But throughout this heart-breaking time, the spirit of this local community has shone brightly and we feel incredibly proud to call Lake Charles our home. But more than ever, we find ourselves speaking to local people that are experiencing hearing challenges but either have other priorities or do not have the financial means to get help.
Nobody grows up looking forward to the day that they get to wear hearing aids, but with one in every eight people over the age of 12 having some form of hearing loss within the USA, hearing aids are an essential part of caring for your hearing health. At Acadian Hearing, our Audiology Specialists know that there's not a "one size fits all" approach to hearing aids.
There's a lot of confusion about what insurance benefits cover you for when it comes to your hearing care. Whether you're just covered for a hearing test or whether you're covered for premium technology and your hearing care. But as each insurance company typically offers a range of packages covering different levels of hearing care and cover, you may be unsure as to what your insurance covers you for.
Our new Access Audiology service brings our audiologists and patients together through video conferencing. All you need is a smartphone, tablet, or a computer to connect to your audiologist. There is no need to leave your home or travel, therefore it is a safe and convenient way to address your hearing issues and receive the advice and care you require.

Had to have specific testing done from referral. Not too bad, last part was rough, got sick and the lady doing the test was very helpful in getting me settled down so I could leave. Very nice group of ladies working at this place.

Dr. Garrido was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. She was very thorough in her procedures and narrated each testing event and findings with me in ways that were very clear and easy for me to understand. I highly recommend this office.

I setup a patient with this office for workers compensation for a determination of a patients hearing loss. The staff told me they accepted workers compensation insurance. I had my patient drive out of state to see the Audiologist, and when the patient was in the waiting room, they tried to tell him that they didn't accept workers compensation insurance. They decided to see the patient out of the kindness of their hearts, we paid for the appointment and the audiologist couldn't give a narrative report as requested.
