Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics Center
Neck & SpineA healthy neck and spine are vital to normal daily function. Usual problems that we encounter are arthritis, disc herniation, strains and pinched nerves. ShoulderEven common shoulder injuries can be debilitating. Some that we look for are "frozen" shoulder, rotator cuff injuries, arthritis, dislocations, tendonitis and fractures.

ElbowThe "funny bone" isn't so funny when the pain is constant. The most common issues include bursitis, epicondylitis, radial tunnel, sprains and overuse injuries. HipWe understand hip pain and how it can stop you cold. A lot of the hip issues we see involve arthritis, tendonitis & bursitis, muscle strain and fractures.
Services
Guilford Orthopaedics was initially founded in 1983 by Dr. Vincent E Paul as a solo practice on North Elam Avenue. It was a burgeoning time in the field of orthopaedics, with new ideas taking off throughout the country. At the same time, the popularity of and participation in sports was growing fast and the practice quickly realized that sports medicine could be an exciting new focus for them.
Offering same day appointments for a comprehensive range of treatments and services is just one of the many advantages that sets Guilford Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center apart from the rest. We implemented the same day appointment benefit because we know that your time is important to you and most likely limited.
Stroll along in the above slide show to preview our facility and some of the services we have to offer. At Guilford Orthopaedic we are committed to providing the finest expertise and most advanced technology available in orthopaedic care. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us any time.
The Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) is a ligament in the center of your knee that can become damaged or torn when twisted too far. This is one of the most common athletic knee injuries and not all ACL tears require surgery to repair. Treatment decisions are tailored to each individual and their particular injury.
Patellofemoral Ligament Reconstruction is usually required for patellar instability (the kneecap going out of joint) and is a relatively common problem in young athletes. Patients experiencing ongoing dislocations, diminished knee function and overall weakness in the knees are usually candidates for patellofemoral ligament reconstruction.

It's a doctor, I dunno how good it can be going to the doctor ever. They are okay here.

Very disappointed. The doctor didn't really listen to me, nor did he examine me thoroughly. It seemed that he had already made his diagnosis before he even saw me. And finally, they charged me for a wrist splint that was way above the dealer price. Do they really need to make money selling stuff?

Very disappointed. I was referred to them by a friend so I had high expectations and they have truly let me down.
