Our office is located in Weston, Massachusetts, servicing cities and towns in the surrounding areas. Through means of referrals, our customer base consists of independent homeowners, landscape contractors and commercial property owners. Lucas Irrigation was founded by Mark Lucas in 1993. The business was initially run by Mark and his brother from the back of a pickup truck servicing a handful of customers in the immediate area. Mark's passion for irrigation and business, along with his commitment to providing quality workmanship and unsurpassed customer service quickly paid off.
The cost for installing a new irrigation system varies upon the type of system that is needed, as well as the size of the areas needing irrigation. The price would also vary upon the number of plant beds that need watering, as they require different amounts of water than lawns and therefore need to be separated.

Very unhappy with Lucas Irrigation. We have been sitting on a leak despite multiple visits from the company. When the system was turned on this past spring, we were not told about any problems, come to find that the system was noted to have low pressure and grass was dying. After much persistence and effort the company finally came out to identify and fix a leak. There was no initiative by Lucas Irrigation to follow up or outline a possible repair plan. Customer service requires attention to detail, which Lucas Irrigation does not have. Their staff are not knowledge. I would STRONGLY advise against

Lucas Irrigation installed a 2-zone irrigation system in backyard. After seven weeks of irrigation, the sodded lawn looked great. However, the customer service and communication throughout the process was disappointing and frustrating. No manual was left for the for the time/programmer. No communication about whether the timer was programmed. Miscommunications between workers. Invoiced for work not done. Unresponsive to attempt to address the issue. Winterized with another company.

This company did excellent work repairing my sprinkler system. Jake diagnosed why my sprinklers weren't working, replaced the heads, pointed them, and set the sprinkler timer. I had been so worried that my 1-year old sprinkler system had been damaged by winter freezing and fence installation and that it might be a big job to repair. But Jake put my mind at ease and tested and diagnosed what needed replacing from the fence install. Really happy with this company's work.

Lucas Irrigation installed a sprinkler system for our front lawn, and updated our controller to a Wifi system. The process to get a quote and schedule the work with the office was very smooth, and I received multiple email and text reminders. The crew was on time and professional; Daniel was very helpful and made sure to walk through all of the functionality in the mobile app and the controller. He even provided a great aerial map of the existing and new system so that maintenance going forward will be easier.

We LOVE Lucas Irrigation! They took over the residential accounts from Lawhorn Irrigation, and I have used them for several years = Lucas Irrigation is super. Honest and reliable.
The office people are the NICEST friendliest people in any office area, anywhere! And their technicians do very careful work, and do a fantastic job.

Horrible customer service. I called them to get a new irrigation system installed. The sales person who came by was on time and gave me good information and sent me an estimate promptly. However, the good experience ended there. We wanted some modification to the plan proposed and I had to call 3 times (and wait 10 days) to have someone call me back to discuss. Once we discussed the modification, I called them to go ahead and schedule it. I was told that they needed to talk to the techs and would get back to me the next day. A week goes by - no call. I call them back and they then tell me their

I was having a new walkway installed and needed a sprinkler head moved while I had the mason on the job. When the irrigation company I normally use couldn't come for a month I reached out to Lucas and explained my urgent situation. The very accommodating representative at Lucas explained that they were very busy but was able to fit me in for service the very next day. Two very qualified guys showed up on schedule and completed the job. Thank you Lucas Irrigation!

Lucas designed my system 7 years ago, and the layout of my property was challenging. Their designer and install team did a superb job, with a network of heads that integrate and cover every inch properly. Since then, I have found them very responsive to my needs, quickly coming over to tweak a setting, or replace a head (hey, that happens!), or checking my electronic controls. They send a two-person team, and sometimes I do question the need for that, but I must say that I am always well satisfied with their professionalism and follow-up.

I moved to Wellesley are this spring. I called this company only because my previous home owner used them.
2 technicians came to open and repair my system. One tech, seems a main tech, was on the phone almost all the time. The other tech was repairing my system, but had to interrupt the main tech often. Waist of huge time. As they left, no explanation of what they did or how my system worked. My system still doesn't work as of today and Lucas told me that all repairs were complete.
Then I received a bill, stated "2- Labors $xxxx"! Really!?!? I had to pay for the guy who was on

Great company! I shopped around for the best price, quality products used for their systems as well as a general feeling of comfort with the outfit. Bill Throckmorton was my rep, very laid back, very knowledgeable / experienced and very responsive (via text no less at all hours of the day). And even when it was recently discovered that the city shut off my water when inspecting the new plumbing set up inside the house (due to getting irrigation installed), Bill went in to my home with my permission when I was out of town and adjusted the system (twice!) to make sure it's back on track.

Having had some of the worst experiences with irrigation companies with our system at our summer home on Cape Cod I have become somewhat of either an expert or a person who just likes financial abuse by contractors. If it weren't for Maurer & Co and the brothers Maurer I would not know about this outfit. If Bruce and Jeff say they are good, then they better be just that.....or else.
So when we bought the house 10 years ago the previous owner had let the lawns dry out and the system was in disrepair. In comes Lucas with a temporary solution which made me happy and especially Maurer
