Amanda is a weddings, events, and family photographer based in Charlottesville, Virginia. She is known for her documentary/photojournalistic style, and she believes photography is about capturing and savoring the beauty in life.
Amanda started her career off as a photo editor at the New York Post, and later became a staff photographer for one of New York's best celebrity photo studios, where she worked as a photojournalist and celebrity photographer, photographing everyone from Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande to President Bill Clinton.

Amanda and Matt were married at Early Mountain Vineyards on a hot, gorgeous day in August. Amanda loved sunflowers, so they were a big part of the day. The bouquets and centerpieces were filled with sunflowers; the wedding arbor was dripping with them; and the bride wore a single sunflower in her hair.
Every bit of Flash and Gilly's wedding at the Science Museum of Virginia showed their personalities and style, from their untraditional cakes to their hipster beer koozie wedding favors. EVERYONE is quirky in their own way, and your wedding is your chance to express yourselves, so the more you can break a little from the norm to show something a little special and different about yourselves, the better!
Brandon and Marlena were married in April at Keswick Hall (which was named a Forbes Five-Star resort this year!) Since Brandon happened to be the activities director at Keswick, he knew all of the most picturesque views of the property.
A week before the wedding, Brandon took Marlena and I on a tour of the large property which boasts a golf course, a creek, a willow tree, woodsy areas, manicured gardens, a pool, a little garden house, as well as the beautiful estate building itself which makes an epic backdrop for wedding day portraits.As we toured around, we planned out all of the spots where we would do portraits after their late morning ceremony.

This activist couple's love was born on the jailhouse steps after the bride was arrested in a protest they had both participated in! When Sara was released from jail, she found her friend and secret crush, Zach, waiting outside the gates for her. From that moment on, they knew they wanted to be together, and three years later, they were married.

Amanda is professional, takes incredible photos and was honestly so fun to work with. I met her at a local photography studio for my headshot session, and within a few days I had access to a gallery of all the unedited photos from the session. I chose a few favorites to be retouched, and those are now my go-to professional networking photos.

I can't say enough great things about Amanda. My wife and I were stressed about photography for our wedding, but Amanda was so kind and professional working with us. She made everything run so smoothly with the photographs. All the photos turned out spectacular of course, we couldn't have asked for better photos for our wedding. If you're looking for a photographer for your wedding, Amanda is the way to go, I can't recommend her enough.

What a wonderful experience we had with Amanda. It was our first family photography session and Amanda went above and beyond in ensuring the best quality pictures.
