Longo's Pizza

I've been to Longos many many times and the food NEVER disappoints. However the service is usually a lot better than it was today (Saturday at 4pm). The restaurant was essentially empty besides my table. Our food was great, no complaint there but we had to ask two times in a row for a drink refill.

I have been eating here since I was little and I have to tell you I'm a little disappointed. The pizza was ok nothing great, the waitress beside never coming to the table and asking if we need anything was also rude. Then at the end of dinner we asked for some pizza boxes we got Styrofoam containers and said that all we're getting because the management decided it too expensive to give dine-in people pizza boxes to take home for their pizza.

We had had several times Longo’s pizza at Maple Leave Square. When they opened up about 10 years ago they were good, now they are terrible. The toppings are skimpy, the dough tastes like flower. We had the meet lover pizza. The few sausage blobs were not lovely. The tomato sauce was scraped on and hardly any cheese. Not worth the money.
It is such a great store, but forget the pizza!

In visiting family in the area and had the treat of great food and excellent service! Loved the garlic knots! My son enjoyed the fried pickles. Pizza was great as well!

Been going to longos for years. 1 to 3 times a week. Have had to ask for clean eating utensils. The last time I ordered celery. What was delivered to me was room temperature with pink/red edges. I asked for it to be returned. It was discusting. Will Not Be going back there.

Best Longo's we have had in a while. Not sure what is happening but keep it up!. We ordered 2 calzones a small dinner salad and an antipasto salad, which was huge! Great great great!

If you have Celiac and are thinking about ordering off their gluten free menu, DON'T. I had just gotten off work and being 9 months pregnant I was exhausted and didn't want to go home and cook. I decided to order takeout and try their "Gluten Free" chicken piccata. Big mistake. I ended up getting extremely ill. It was delicious, I'll give them that. But it certainly wasn't worth being up until almost 2am sick as can be. Definitely was not just cross contamination, something went extremely wrong there.

Don't even ask where to find the best italian in the city! Just sit down, eat a meatball and shut it! I have never had anything less than an A+ on the patio at longos! Day or night- weekday weekend - it's pure magic! The wait staff is always super homey and awesome!

Great food and great outdoor dining space! Ordered the Ultimate Pepperoni pizza and Cheesy breadsticks ... yummy till the very end! My husband and I had dinner and breakfast from one order!

Even with a slight rain we stayed nice and dry under the table umbrellas and service was good.

Apparently everyone gets garlic knots too - those were very tasty!

They might have good food - don't know - they stop serving at 8:00. I get it's a different world these days - but closing at 8:00? My Grandma stays up later.

We used to go here once a week before Covid. Service was always fantastic, food was consistently good, never had an issue. Until post Covid. Now it's a limited menu for the past two months. No onion rings which were our favorite and when I asked why not (genuinely curious) I was told "Covid". Please, stop using Covid as a crutch. Bring back the full menu and we'll be back.

Super efficient servers. Pleasant as well. Delicious food. Clean restaurant!

Longo's is a great place to eat. It is truly a local place. It's always packed on the weekends during what is considered "normal" dining hours so we go earlier. The food is great. I'm not one for pizza because of all the bread so I get other things. Their chicken fingers are amazing, and the spaghetti is awesome. I love their meat sauce. It's the best in town. I prefer it with angel hair pasta. During Lent, the grouper dinner is delicious. If you're in a hurry or really hungry, go early! Great place to eat!

Average pizza. Wish more local options that were better....hopefully something will come along

Best pizza in town. Starting with loving their New York style thin crust pizza but then just got their normal crust and it was just as good. Their Hawaiian pizza is my favorite! During the summer months they have a nice outdoor patio!

The sauce has always been superb. I will never forget the first moment that I ate it when when my uncle got shot for being a snitch. That was the first time that I ordered the bread sticks. I lived by prego out of principle. My uncle runsuk hasnt been right since shock treatment. He means well.

Everybody else should take the breadsticks here.

This place awesome. Dennis is the best bartender I have ever seen. The Manager I believe her name is Laurie came out and asked me how everything was. They were slammed and for her to come to me and ask me how things are is awesome. I have never had that before. I would suggest Longo's before you go anywhere else.

Dear sweet lord the California Veggie calzone is amazing! I thought I knew all the fabulousness that Joey Longo had - the garlic knots, the delicious salads, the pizzas and pastas - fave Chicken Madison at Joeys in Madison - but their chicken Alfredo is still perfectly homemade- anyhoo tonight the pizza just like always delicious - crispy cheesy meatball-y (it's a word) but the special on Monday - boneless bites or a 2 item calzone (we upgraded to the California Veggie) and I might never not order it again.

Really like Longo's pizza. Only ever been disappointed one time and they were very polite and took care of me the way a customer should be treated. I like the fact they stick to the basic local pizza place items...wings, subs, salads and pasta dinners! I'm sure that's why they are so successful.

Used to eat here all the time. Loved it. Have moved out of state and was driving through on my way to see family. Got here 2.5 hours before close and they said they're closing early.

Maybe put a notice on your website or something next time.

Great food. Nice portions. Vegetarian friendly. California veggie calzone is awesome comes with a side of sauce. My hubs likes the Sicilian pizza and calzone.

Great food and service at Longo's pizza, Joey's and Pastina. As a Mentor native, there is no counting how many times I have frequented Longo's and now the newer establishments too.

On another note, today an organization I volunteer for received 20 kids bikes as a donation from Mr. Longo as gifts this holiday season. These working families would never have been able to fulfill their child's #1 request without the generosity and incredible kindness of Mr. Longo and the Longo family. What an amazing presence in our community!!

Of the seemingly hundreds of pizza places in Mentor, I have tried many but 2 stand out. Longos is one of them.
I love the delicious crust and the thickness is perfect. I had the deluxe pizza. Wonderful flavors. Fresh ingredients were evident. And Longos doesn't skimp. They loaded the toppings on.

Nice job, Longos. I'm hooked!

We ordered 2 dinners. There was absolutely no taste to the sauce. Now when you order a chicken parm dinner you expect to taste more then chicken n cheese. The noodles were over cooked (angel hair)and all mucked up with water the lasagna had hardly no meat in it and was basically all cheese awful I say just awful. And the appetizers were potato skins Greasy on top and not done in the middle. I spent $30. On the garbage compactors dinner.

Never been there in the 9 years i've lived here. Was only on the back patio. They should enclose that because it's a fun place! Loud, great tvs, bartenders are great and plenty of parking. THey are known for their pizza but I did not eat so I will update this after my first meal there.
