Sawarne's Clear Vertical Grain Heart (CVG) is the highest grade available. The majority of pieces are completely clear, with allowance for only the slightest imperfections that do not detract from the fine appearance. No.2 Clear & Better grade lumber is our finest quality rough lumber. Sawarne produces No.2 Clear & Better lumber that is sound and well manufactured.
Bevel siding is the most widely used siding type. Sawarne produces bevel siding by resawing lumber at an angle to produce two pieces thicker on one edge than the other. The manufacturing process results in pieces with one face saw textured. The other face is smooth or saw textured depending on the grade and customer preference.
Sawarne produces quality Architect Knotty grade posts for high end applications. Sawarne's manufacturing standards ensure sound and tight knots, prohibits wane and holes, and limits heart centers. Sawarne limits natural growth characteristics so as not to detract from the appearance of the finished product.
Select grade represents facia of the highest possible quality. Cedar's natural characteristics make it the perfect material for facia, as it protects against decay and insects, ensures materials stay straight, lay flat, and provides an excellent base for paints and stains.
