Superior Joining Technologies, Inc. provides a service of automated TIG seam welding for producing near perfect linear welds with full penetration. NDT Fluorescent Penetrant Dye Inspection is an inspection method used to detect a variety of flaws in metals, ceramics, and plastics.

We have mastered the art of etching by laser onto metal surfaces with virtually no raised surface. Superior Joining Technologies, Inc. offers full 5-axis and multi-axis precision machining to produce high-quality precision parts. Put items in customers' hands faster with high-quality additive manufacturing from Superior Joining Technologies.
Services
Superior Joining Technologies, Inc. (SJTI) has grown and developed into a highly technical and precise welding operation serving any industry that needs that level of expertise and documentation, most notably aerospace. We work to support our customers, grow each employee and then reach out to have a positive impact on our community---especially as it pertains to supporting the manufacturing industry as a whole.
From oilfield tools and aerospace components to medical devices and consumer electronics, manufacturers across an array of industries aim to deliver high-quality products to the marketplace quickly. Put items in customers' hands faster with high-quality additive manufacturing services from Superior Joining Technologies.
Direct metal laser melting (DMLM) or selective laser melting is very similar to more traditional direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) processes, except the material used is completely melted to create incredibly thin liquid pools that solidify as they cool. Our DMLM machine provides a layer thickness down to 15 - 30 m and a production speed of 1 - 5 cm3/h (depending on material) with a 100 W fiber laser.
The introduction of FDM 3D Printing services to our operation has improved our ability to more rapidly develop tooling and process new programs by aiding in the communication process with our customers and our crew internally. The fused deposition modeling process has proven to be valuable in producing unique work holding trays and containers to reduce the risk of damage in handling.
Laser powder deposition (LPD) uses a focused laser to fuse metal or ceramic powder to an existing metal substrate. Using laser metal deposition technology, we are the first in the North Central Illinois region to offer the ability to create and/or modify the hardware. The laser metal deposition (LMD) process allows us to join materials that could not otherwise be welded.
