TMS Therapy uses magnetic pulses to heal the brain from serious depression without medication. If depression still has too much control over your life, please talk with Christina Walker, our Big Sky Psychiatry TMS Coordinator, for a free telephone screening. If it is determined that you may be a candidate for TMS Therapy, we will schedule an in-office consultation with a Board Certified Psychiatrist, who will perform a complete assessment and determine whether TMS Therapy is an appropriate treatment option for you.

BrainsWay Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy is an effective, non-medication treatment for severe, treatment-resistant depression. It works by utilizing a high intensity magnetic field to stimulate (depolarize neurons) areas of the brain, such as the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), which are under-active in people with severe depression.

We believe in taking the time to listen to our patients, so we can accurately understand them and their stories. We combine this understanding of the individual with our medical understanding of psychiatric illness to arrive at accurate diagnoses and treatments, tailored to each person. It is our mission to provide the best psychiatric care in a confidential, respectful and collaborative manner.
Our psychiatrists provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management services. While we frequently utilize psychotherapy strategies to complement our medication and non-medication treatments, when our patients require more regular psychotherapy we typically refer them to other psychotherapists.
Our psychiatrists, Dr. Leonard Lantz and Dr. Krista David, have been trained in Collaborative Care, a model of integrated behavioral health. Collaborative Care has been shown to improve access to quality mental healthcare and to improve outcomes, including the time to remission of depression. It is one of the few interventions that has been scientifically shown to reduce suicide.
