Prairie's Hardscape and Design was started by Bob Hopkins in 2005. Mr. Hopkins discovered a passion for landscape and hardscape design as a teenager working his first job for a lawn maintenance company. He has since grown his business to a thriving, full-service landscaping and hardscape design and maintenance company.
He remains actively involved in all projects and is emotionally invested in the happiness of his clients. We hired Bob and his company, Prairie’s Hardscape and Design, based on his design and enthusiasm. Initially we thought we would do our project in phases but after Bob’s enthusiasm we decided to go “all in”. He indicated our 100k project would take 8-10 weeks. We now are at one year since we broke ground. Our experience has been nothing short of a disappointment. This entire summer he has told us on a weekly basis that he would have crews here to complete our project. Since April we have not seen his crew here more than a couple days in a week if at all and only a couple times the entire

We couldn't be happier with the work Prairie Hardscapes has done to our home - last year they redid our backyard to take all the water from our downspouts to the back of our yard, as well as put in a retaining wall and new patio. The work looks fantastic! we couldn't have been happier.
This year, we worked with them to redo the entire landscape in our front yard. Their team worked hard, quickly, and did a fantastic job. I would recommend this team to anyone.

Initial consulation went great, we were excited to work with Bob who was very knowledgable, had some great ideas & said he would get back to us in a week after our 11/4 meeting. I followed up on 11/22 after not hearing anything at all and was told he would reach out to me. Again.. nothing. Followed up again on 12/9... not even a reply from the office manager this time. Last follow up was today 12/13. I can't imagine how communication would be during a project if I can't even get an email or phone call back. Very unprofessional.

I would love to write a review of Prairie's Landscape but sadly, I cannot. I had an initial consultation with Bob on 05/03/2019 to discuss a complete landscape overhaul including a new patio. I provided a copy of out plat of survey and Bob seemed very excited about our project. We were scheduled to meet with Bob on 05/22 for him to present the landscape plan. He never showed. I attempted to call him but his voicemail box was full. I followed up with his office person, Lisa, who had no idea where he was or why he missed our appointment. Against my better judgement, I agreed to reschedule the meeting

Just had a house rehabbed and the yard was a mess. Also needed some hardscape work. Met with Bob, very nice, brought samples and gave his input. The team was out fairly quickly cleaning up the yard and prepping. All seemed to be going really well. The walkway went in with no problem and looks great (only reason for 2 stars). However the yard was...ok. They did not straw mat all the bare spots. Bob told us he was going to come back in a couple of months and overseed the bare patches. Ok sounded good. That was in May. We haven't heard from Bob or anyone from the company, even after repeated calls
