Services
Our teachers possess a passion and a love for working with and teaching children. Our lead and assistant teachers are required to take the WA DEL (Department of Early Learning) Basic Stars 30-hour training. They are also required to keep up with their annual 10 hours of state approved trainings. This helps to ensure that our teachers are qualified in early child development and continuing to further their knowledge.
We provide care for infants between 1 and 12 months old. They are lovingly cared for and free to explore their surroundings in our safe, comfortable infant room. Babies are growing so rapidly in these vital months and our staff provides them with opportunities to learn and gain strength and mobility.
At 12 months old our infants move up to the Waddler classroom. This classroom focuses on helping the children understand the world around them. With dramatic play, a library and lots of fine and gross motor activities, children learn all about life through their environment. This age group learns basic life skills such as holding their own silverware, hand-eye coordination and social- emotional connections.
At 18 months of age, our waddlers move to our Toddler classroom where they will begin the next stage of their development. Our toddlers learn about cause and effect as well as empathy for their classmates. At this stage, it is vital to build on their language skills and give them the proper ways of getting their needs met and asserting their needs with respect for others.
At 2 years old our toddlers move up to our Preschool classroom. At this age the focus shifts more to planned curriculum along with learning through play and senses. We shift focus to tasks that are more involved and age appropriate for the individual children in our preschool classroom.
While still learning through play and hands on activities they gain autonomy and are encouraged to use more critical thinking skills throughout the day and learning activities.The goal is to help them with skills such as pre-writing and letter recognition so that when they head off to "big school" they will be ready for all that Kindergarten has to offer.

I’ve been bringing my son here for 6 months, after recently moving to the area. The staff have been nothing but extremely informative and attentive to my sons needs. My son is always happy when I pick him up, and talks about his new friends all day. He looks forward to going to daycare each day. The pandemic has taken a toll on my son this past year with socializing, since he has been attending this facility he has been thriving. I am so happy with the services provided here, and HIGHLY recommend them!

Discovery Childcare is an amazing center! The staff are very attentive to the kids and their needs, along with the questions or concerns parents might have. Ms. Dee and her teachers work hard day after day to make sure the center is a safe and welcoming place for all who come through the door. All the teachers are fantastic, caring and love all the children as if they are their own! I would definitely recommend trusting your children in their care.

A professional environment that values the safety of both staff and children attending. The staff maintain a regular schedule for the kids everyday and work hard to make sure kids are learning and having fun! I had horrible experience here. They didn’t change my baby diaper whole day. Just said incase the baby will not allow they will not touch and they are very rude. My son is pandemic baby and not familiar with strangers, but as per cleanliness they have to take care of the baby. My son just went 2 days and we have to stop because of the rash behavior. They didn’t even return our money for the month. Not at all professional. I would have gave zero star if possible. Though this guys disagree I have faced this situation. Will not recommend anyone this pathetic place.

I absolutely love this daycare! My children have attended for years and I couldn’t be any happier with how family oriented they are. Teachers are so nice and upbeat they are more of a second family to us. Ms dee is respectful kind and will listen to any of your concerns and solve them immediately I wouldn’t trust my children anywhere else .

My children have been attending this center for over a year. I have no complaints. Most families stay for a long time and their children grow up there. The teachers are great, the center is safe and clean. Dont take my word for it, call to schedule a tour. All negative reviews are most likely fake from bitter families who were excused by their own fault. Management is also very hard working and cares for the children like their her own. She is very responsive and polite. I am always greeted with a smile from staff!

Very welcoming atmosphere, offers activities and fun days for the families, teachers work hard to get children where they need to be developmentally. Management has worked with me numerous times when I could not afford to pay my tuition. They truly care for their students as well as the parents. I never have to worry about my child's safety while I'm away. They have cameras in every classroom and I feel comfortable at all times. They provide healthy foods, not just quick meals.
