I had the pleasure of getting to know David this summer when he opened David's Landing, a cute seasonal spot on the water in Shippan. David himself is kind, personable, hilarious, and an all around great person. His food and drinks - amazing. His potato salad & onion dip - out of this world! Can't recommend enough and can't wait for the warm weather to come back around!

I solicited several companies to cater a small outdoor wedding event in Greenwich for 20 people and picked David's because I liked their ideas for pandemic serving and they gave me a very fair price. Melissa was great working with me on initial ideas and saw everything through to the actual event. The on-site staff was extremely professional and helpful. My guests thought the food was delicious and they liked the service on individual bamboo plates for safety and sustainability. The bar service was a big hit too. Davids is professional, prompt, GREAT food, and I'm proud to support a local business that's been in Stamford for decades! Haley really listened to our needs and provided a menu and service options that were a perfect fit. Madden, our server, was the perfect blend of warmth, responsiveness, and she set up, served, and cleaned up the entire party, leaving us to focus on our guests! The food was outstanding - variety and extra touches to every menu item we selected. Don't miss their signature potato salad...it was awesome!!! Top notch company!!!

We had a party at The Landing this weekend and everything was perfect! We coordinated our event with Melissa and she was very professional. Toni, who was our point of contact that night, was terrific! Took care of all our needs. Staff was friendly and worked hard! And the food....was delicious of course! David's Catering did an incredible catering our recent engagement party in South Norwalk! Every step of the way from preparation to picking the menu, to executing the event, David's did an incredible job helping us make our event a special one.
Our coordinator Melissa was amazing leading up to the event in helping us determine the right menu and set up to ensure our guests had a wonderful time. We had over 80 guests and a lot of last minute shuffling of RSVPs, but everything went off without a hitch.

We hired David's Catering for a party in our home. To answer the most important questions you probably have: the food was delicious, the platters were temptingly arranged and David's was a pleasure to deal with. I've known and worked with Melissa for years and hadn't used David's in a while but I reached out after about 7 years of not needing a caterer and nothing has changed. Melissa is a wonderful, professional,… thoughtful person to work with and a complete gem! David's catered our company picnic yesterday and we had a lobster bake on the beach. It was amazing! The food was excellent, the presentation was beautiful and flawless and Madden and Plinio were a dream to work with. Melissa and her team we’re absolutely incredible. We got married and was the first wedding at the Landing which is typically for corporate events. They transformed the space to become exactly what I was… dreaming up.
The beautiful patio and amazing water views to the incredible food. Everyone was raving about Melissa and her team. They hustled the whole time behind the scenes to make it look effortless and the entire event was flawless. I highly recommend them!
Definitely order their tuna tacos for cocktail hour!!!!! I am still dreaming about them! Just amazing.

Fantastic Apres Ski Party! The food was amazing the service was even better. They arrived hours beforehand to set up and start prepping the food, which was just perfect for the party-- a fondue and slider station and lots of great passed plates. The chefs in the kitchen were top-notch and really put a lot of effort into their banking and it shows. We highly recommend and will be using them again.

We had the wonderful pleasure of experiencing David's Soundview Catering last weekend as we held a graduation party for my son. Graduation ran late, traffic was very, very bad in the rain coming back from the venue and imagine my delight when I walked into the room and DSC had EVERYTHING SET UP, BEAUTIFULLY DISPLAYED AND READY FOR MY guests and I to start eating and drinking. Melissa at Soundview Catering catered my wedding at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center, and she was an absolute dream. We had a rustic, farm-to-table fall wedding, and she understood and captured our vision perfectly. She thoughtfully listened to our requests and had creative suggestions on how to create the atmosphere we wanted without breaking the bank. Truly a pleasure to work with. Tony and Marylee have been in charge of at least four events for me and they are not only exceptionally competent, they are nice people and they really care about how I like things done as well as ensuring all my guests feel welcomed and attended to ... and the food ... EXCELLENT.... many guests commented how good it was. The chef Ishmael(?) even excelled at two recipes that were outside the standard offerings. We order from David's almost EVERY DAY and EVERY DAY it's, on time, delicious, fresh and well prepared. The new "Spring on to the Beach" menu (full of yummy low-cal options) is AMAZING! The shrimp tacos are one of my faves. Anything you need, just ask and they'll make sure you are taken care of. Can't go wrong with a choice like David's!

David's Soundview has done several events for me over the past few years. The BIG one was my daughter's wedding this past weekend. No one was disappointed. All of our expectations were exceeded. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious (guests loved the Risotto Bar...WOW). I love working with Melissa Desousa.....she is a true professional and knows exactly what she needs to do. The wedding was wonderful and I had a terrific time. The bride and groom were thrilled. What more could you ask?

David's Soundview Catering is on our corporate Seamless lunch list one a week, but since we love it so much, we order from them on a daily basis. The food is fresh, and well prepared, and delicious. The staff is great too. Always accommodating to any changes/additions to our orders. They're very quick to call if an item is not available, which we appreciate.
