A family business since 1945, Marvin Louis Greis started the dirt business with a backhoe and a dumptruck. He hauled rock and dug basements in the growing town of Boonville. In addition, Marvin manned a trucking business, hauling for the town bakery, other local businesses, and materials for surrounding highway projects.
Marvin Lee, the only son, came into the business at the age of 13. He would spend his time after school digging basements, and at 18, he came to manage the local dirt projects. In 1965 Marvin Lee and his wife, Patricia, bought the business and expanded. Currently in its fourth generation, Marvin Lee; sons, Mark and Clark; daughter, Denise; and Grandson, Jacob still do business the old fashioned way - with a handshake and hard work.
