I’ve been going to Dr. Lai since I was 13 years old, I’m now almost 26. He’s always been completely thorough and highly knowledgeable about what he does. I’ve never had a bad experience with him or any of his staff members and I’ve seen him for several sports related injuries throughout the years. In any Drs. Office there is going to be a wait, and in any Drs. Office there is going to be small hiccups that are occasionally made, that’s just life. I am really getting tired of the incompetence of the staff in Dr Lai's office. I have been sitting here now for over 45 mins PAST my (rescheduled) appointment time. This is not the first time THEY have rescheduled my appointments because th PHYSICIANS ASSISTANT wasn't going to be in on time.
I am totally fed up with this crap. I feel these people have gotten too big for their britches.

Oh it's ok if the Dr is late, but not the patient? Maybe we should start charging them for being late! My mom waited past her app time! She was racked with pain, then when called after regular patients got back there! Yes we been there before! So getting back there we waited 20 MORE minutes, again she can barely sit in her wheel chair! After everyone else was seen he finally came to her his assistant was horrible! He spent 10 mins with her telling us he wouldnt do anything! WASTE OF TIME! Find somewhere else to go!

Dr. Lai is awesome. His staff in Brawley not so much. I had an appointment at the beginning of January, and they told I had to pay an additional $174 on top of my copay. When I asked why, they told me it was the "taxes" on my health insurance. This sounded suspicious, so after my appointment, I called my insurance who then called Dr. Lai's office for an explanation. Apparently, they have a new policy requiring the entire amount up front and reimburse the patient when the insurance pays out.
