Rodney and Rita Stevens Sr. along with son, Rodney Stevens Jr., purchased and open Steve's Cleaners in 1977. Daughter Rhonda came into the business 4 years later. We started with 1 store and 5 employees. We have grown to 4 stores with 22 employees. Over the years as our industry has changed, we have gone from manual presses and dry cleaning transfer units to Electric air driven Presses and a state of the art computerized Dry Cleaning Machine.
Rodney Sr. loved his family, he has 7 grandchildren which have all worked in the business at one time or another. Since the passing of our Dad, Rodney Jr. and Rhonda have continued running the business the way their Dad would have wanted it, with passion, confidence and pride. Quality is our number one goal.

Dry cleaning is similar to washing but without the water. Dry cleaned garments are cleaned in a machine that looks like a giant washer with one major difference - instead of using water or anything water based, a liquid is used that does not contain any water. Three things cause shrinkage in garments, heat, mechanical action, and moisture.
