NORDSTAR Audiology II
I am very pleased with my Microtech hearing aids. I previously owned a pair of canal aids and am now enjoying the behind the ear hearing aids. I can not only hear now but also the aids are made in such a way that they are not noticeable. My best friends never knew unless I told them. Heather Nordby-Williams is the President/Audiologist for NORDSTAR Audiology II. She has been a practicing audiologist in the state of Ohio for over nineteen years and the President of NORDSTAR Audiology since 2007. Heather received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Connecticut in 1992 and a Master of Science degree in Audiology from Southern Connecticut State University in 1995.
Before we even begin to recommend a hearing aid, we test your hearing abilities to determine if you need one at all. The human hearing mechanism processes sound through both mechanical (outer and middle ear) and electrical (inner ear) systems. A thorough screening evaluates both of these systems independently.
NORDSTAR Audiology is wonderful. Heather is very professional and does everything she can to make sure that your visit is good and you receive the hearing instruments that work best for your hearing loss. She went over and above to take care of me and make numerous adjustments so I could hear. I highly recommend them to anyone needing a hearing aid.
Refer a friend/family and receive 5 packs of batteries a ($25 value) upon their purchase to say Thank You!. THANK YOU, to our Veterans for your past, current, and those who gave their lives for freedom.
Audiologists are the primary health-care professionals who evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage hearing loss and balance disorders in adults and children. Design and implement hearing conservation programs and newborn hearing screening programs.

While most audiologists earn a doctor of audiology (AuD) degree, there are other doctoral degrees that audiologists can obtain, i.e., PhD, ScD, etc., from accredited universities with special training in the prevention, identification, assessment, and treatment of hearing disorders.Audiologists treat all ages and types of hearing loss: adults, teens, children, and infants.

Bonnie and Heather makes the experience great and are very accomodating!!! I been going to them for many years for hearing test and hearing aids. I would suggest, u do your own research if u may want or need a specific kind or brand of hearing aid( s). Knowing if u need more volume, sound, less interference can help versus what u have. The technology is advancing to help us adapt.

Dr. Nordby is an excellent audiologist who genuinely cares about the hearing quality of her patients. While I have moved out of state, I'll miss her and her staff.

I am sorry to report that my service from Nordstar bore no resemblance to David B.'s. It took over 3 months to get my hearing aids.
During this wait, I checked to discover how long it should take or what is typical and reasonable. The consensus is 10 days, most things considered. One month is a very generous lead time, allowing for possible delays with insurance and approvals. A one month wait would have delighted me, and I would be posting more a positive rating -- over three months is simply too long!
Also, after getting my initial test at Nordstar, I found a Consumer Reports article

Just as a follow up, I've been with Nordstar Audiology for 2 years and am still delighted with the services they provide. Friendly, attentive and some really good deals - batteries for life - who else provides that.

If you can go to another Audiologist.. do so because this is the worst of them all.. Nothing but screw ups and delays.. I tried for 5 months to get two hearing aids and I still do not have them. Missed emails and miscommunication and that's just the beginning..
