Over time, our teeth are exposed to many foods and drinks that can add stain to our teeth. We offer a few products to help with whitening. Our favorite product is our take home whitening kit. We have had very good results with it, patients love the convenience of it as well as the cost and the results are close to our in office whitening.
Barbara D. Swankhouse (formerly Dr. Barbara D. Heupel) is a Doctoral graduate of the University of Colorado - School of Dental Medicine. Barbara received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University-Pueblo, graduating with honors with a BS in Biology, with an emphasis in Cellular and Molecular Biology.

Omg. Mary who worked there was SO friendly and humorous! She educated me to the fine details of how plaque builds up, creates deposits, and can form tooth loss or decay. I mean she was MORE educational than all the years of my dental experience put together...I feel like a dental pro.
And DR Swankhouse was to the point, professional, and super kind. The whole office was nice and helpful and had great energy. Honestly can’t wait to go back for another cleaning!

Swankhouse to the rescue again. 5yrs later from my first emergency root canal to now, Swankhouse got me in the same day after searching tirelessly for someone to help me...someone to actually listen to me....someone who cares so deeply about helping people she will stay past closing to do a root canal....someone who will work with me financially and do all she can to ensure I have no more pain while waiting to afford the permanent crown. Dr. Swankhouse is the fastest, most accurate diagnostician I've ever seen. She is quick but very thorough. Like most people I'm not a fan of having dental work done but Dr Swankhouse is seriously amazing. She also seems to select a very caring and amazing staff. I was tentative to find a new dentist after moving into the area and I am so lucky that I found this office. Every person on this staff has the best customer service and makes you feel right at home. I really have enjoyed coming to Dr Swankhouse. She has kept a close eye on my implants that resulted from an unfortunate college bike accident and her team goes above and beyond Making you comfy. Amber was always asking me if I was ok and made my appointments less stressful for being at a dentist. Dr Swankhouse is easy to express concerns to and I appreciated that. I look forward to my next cleaning with Julie or Mary because they have both cleaned my teeth to perfection!

After doing some research for a new dentist office I went with Swankhouse Dental and I’ve very happy I made that decision. I recently had a cleaning and a handful of cavities filled over 3 visits. Needless to say, I was a little worried after putting off the dentist for awhile. Dr. Swankhouse and her team did amazing work and made me feel comfortable throughout. From the first visit to the last they did a seamless job explaining the treatment, executing the plan, and working with my insurance. I highly recommend the Swankhouse Dental Team!

This was by far the best dental place I have ever gone too. I was genuinely surprised. The chairs had massage options and every single person there was so sweet and encouraging... wow. Julie and Ms. Swankhouse were soooooooooo sweet. The prices were great and I recommend this place to everyone and anyone! They have treated me and my family really well and are super personal and treat you with so much value!!

Like many, I get really anxious going to the dentist. So when I chipped a tooth shortly after moving to a new part of town, I was not thrilled to have to find a new dentist on the fly. Luckily, Dr. Swankhouse and her team were great. They got me in quickly and made the experience as painless as possible for a dental procedure.

Having a rich dental history and experience with various dental clinics in Europe as well as in the US, I’m happy to find Dr. Swankhouse and her team at Swankhouse Dental. In my childhood suffered accidental damage of my front tooth (central incisor).., thus it’s imperative that I always seek professionals with up to date methods and treatment tools….

I had the "pleasure" of having a root canal performed here last week. Besides initial shots to numb the area, it was a fairly pain-free experience. The medication wore off quickly and my mouth didn't really feel bad at all. I recommend this dentist, although I have only had one experience here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The receptionist has a happy positive attitude and helped me out with a creative payment solution. Dr. Swankhouse (a.k.a. Dr. Awesome) is very knowledgeable, and gives clear explanations, which I find very helpful.

At last! Dr. Swankhouse is a dental goddess, kind, sane, straightforward. My 2 prior dental experiences included a lovely but catastrophizing dentist who saw only impending disaster and a Medicaid dentist who was delighted I had so many of my own teeth at my advanced age. Dr. Swankhouse is the perfect middle...concerned, realistic and honest about what the options are. Plus, and I am not easy to impress, she is just cool.

I recently moved from NYC and was in need of extensive dental care (restorative work, implants, etc.) I found Dr. Swankhouse based on reviews, and I feel so lucky that I did! If I could give more than five stars-I would! I feel so lucky to have found this wonderful Dentist and her wonderful staff! Dr. Swankhouse has such a calming and confident presence! She is also REAL. I love that she explains what is going on in your mouth. When there are options that one can choose, she explains them thoroughly along with their individual pros and cons and the costs. Dr. Swankhouse is amazing. I've been looking for a dentist since I moved here, and the reviews on her page are 100% accurate. I had pretty high expectations from my dentist back east, and Dr. Swankhouse definitely lived up to them! I was given a full set of x-rays, and she noted one cavity which needed to be filled which I knew about. No extra work that wasn't required. She was great throughout the entire filling, always making sure nothing was bothering me. Excellent care and fantastic staff!

She's the absolute best! I have never had fillings last as long as they did when she does them. She was able to reconstruct my teeth without using expensive veneers and has given me my confidence back. She is very gentle, focused and just an all around excellent dentist.
