The mission of Brandon House Cultural & Performing Arts Center, referred to as Brandon House, is transforming lives through creative and performing arts! Affirming its core belief in urban renewal as it relates to promoting job creation, urban renewal, economic development, and creative economy, Brandon House uses the power of the arts to embrace creative talents of local, regional and global artists and performers.
Our mission is: Transforming lives through creative and performing arts! Brandon House is an urban community-based center that supports creative and artistic skills of underrepresented and underserved youth, aspiring artists, musicians and creative professionals. The goals of Brandon House programs are facilitated through three pillars: Creative Education Programs; Creative Career & Workforce Development; and Performing Arts & Cultural Events.
As we change to keep up with the arts-based needs of our community, our Board of Directors and the Brandon House team are considering a major expansion that would not only provide us with more space, but will offer opportunities to create a trained diverse workforce through arts-based programming. With enthusiasm, vision and careful planning, the Board has determined to officially launch a major fund-raising campaign.
Brandon House Cultural & Performing Arts Center was co-founded in 2010 by members of the Bax family, Paul Bax, husband to Dr. Pamela Bax and father to Dr. Patrice Bax and son, Dion Bax. Paul Bax is the visionary behind the creation of the Brandon House.

While pursuing her graduate degree from the UALR, it was driving down 12th & University in Little Rock where the former Brandon House Furniture store was located that Paul's vision and Dr. Patrice's desire to see some type of building or a gathering place where cultural activities would illuminate, educate and entertain through affordable cultural opportunities that could enrich the quality of life of diverse audiences in a venue located outside of downtown Little Rock.
Brandon House's board of directors represents a cross-section of our community and they are experts in their fields using their creative energies to make the arts alive for the communities we serve. Our board members work hard to ensure long-term sustainability of the organization so that the funds raised allow for artistic expressions of our residents.
