Our first shrimp farm saw its humble beginning in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico at the turn of the century in the year 2000. It got its name "EL TERCO", or "The Stubborn One" because its founder, who had been pursuing the project of creating a shrimp farm in fresh water, away from the sea, did something no one had ever done before in the area.

To start off with.... the sweet tea taste like dirty dish water š¤® the service was trash, not once did she come and offer refills š” we left with a nasty taste in our mouth. I will never return to this disgusting place š¤ this restaurant deserves zero stars, but was forced to add at least one to post my opinion.

Best food ever!!! The staff is super nice, friendly and don't rush you to order. To start You get chips and a soup broth in a shot glass, which is really yummy. They have good music and the other TV shows music videos. I don't drink alcohol, but they have a variety of beers. They serve Pepsi my favoriteā£The prices are very reasonable. So if you're looking for really good seafood, or to try out a new place, with yummy food, El Terco is the place for youā£

This was my first and last time here. First they took forever to bring us the food. Then they messed up my sisterās order. She had order shrimp with cream cheese and they gave her mozzarella. The waitress then said they had confused the order and when they brought it back they only gave her three miserable shrimps. The food was not that great either. I most definitely do not recommend this place to anyone.

Nice place. Started with some tostadas and a variety of hot sauces. The house made spicy green tomatillo sauce was good. We ordered the lunch special (medium shrimp soup, 2 fish chicharones (large fried fish nuggets), white rice and small side salad) and a fried shrimp and fish combo (3 fish chicharones, 4 fried shrimp, fries and a small side salad). Both plates were $6.99 each. A great deal! The soup broth was tasty and it had about 6 medium shrimp in it. The fish and shrimp tasted good and fresh. The fish tasted great all by itself. The small side salads were crispy and fresh. They provided salad
