Services
There are millions of germs that live in your mouth. If you suffer from gum disease, you have open wounds in your gums that allow the bacteria to enter directly into your blood stream and circulate throughout your body. Much research is being done to investigate if a definitive link exists between periodontal disease and other systemic illnesses.
Taking good care of your mouth does more than help ensure you have a bright, white smile. Having a healthy mouth and healthy body go hand-in-hand! Recent studies have linked good oral hygiene with good overall health. Having a healthy mouth can reduce your risk for many serious diseases, including heart disease and pancreatic cancer.
Unlike a regular denture, which rests on your gums, implant supported dentures are anchored in your mouth by dental implants. However, implant supported dentures can be placed in the upper jaw as well. In this type of denture, your implant-supported denture snaps into place on the implants surgically placed in your jaw.
Deterioration of the jaw bone can happen in areas where you're missing teeth, since the tooth roots stimulate the jaw bone. Without sufficient bone, you won't be a candidate for dental implant placement. To alleviate this, bone grafting, the replacement or augmentation of missing bone around the teeth, can be performed.
Millions of Americans each year suffer from gum disease, yet only a small percentage actually receive treatment. Gum disease has been linked to a variety of health complications including, but not limited to, heart disease, pancreatic cancer, diabetes, and low birth-weight babies.

Gum disease is an epidemic in this country and around the world, and until now the majority of the treatment options available included invasive surgery involving cutting the gum tissue down and suturing it back together, or extracting the teeth and recommending dentures or dental implants. But the day has finally arrived when patients do not have to fear or put off getting treatment!
