The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is the authority on fire, electrical, and building safety. They recommend that you have any wood, coal, gas, oil, corn, or pellet appliance, fireplace, chimney connectors, chimneys and all other solid fueled heating appliances inspected annually by a certified chimney sweep, and cleaned as often as an inspection suggests.
Lint and additional debris can build up in your clothes dryer vent and may cause your dryer to exhaust at less than optimum efficiency. This creates potentially hazardous conditions including carbon monoxide intrusion and the possibility for exhaust fires. If a gas clothes dryer is improperly vented or the exhaust duct itself is blocked by lint or debris, carbon monoxide can be forced back into your living space.

This business is a complete joke. They came highly recommended. I called for service and got VM. Left a message but didn’t hear back . Next day I called and someone answered and apologized for not getting through messages. Made an appointment two weeks out. A few days before appointment, I tried to call a verify...never an answer and VM full. Emailed everyone on website but never got a response. The appointment time came and went, no show. Don’t waste your time with this bunch.

Looking for new a new chimney sweep today because Hoosier Chimney Sweep did not call or show up on June 15, 2019. This would have been a 3rd year of them coming to our house. Each time he would talk bad about other chimney sweeps in the area. He recommended modifications 1st time out so I asked him for estimate. He never followed back on his promise, looked at his notes the 2nd time out and talked down to me for not making the changes. So I asked for the quote again...never got it. I am glad he didn't show up or call, I will find a new sweep who is more customer focused. If not clear, I would not

New to the area. Called and set up an appointment when I knew I could fit them in between moving. They were a no call no show...very irritating. Called them three times during scheduled appointment with no answer. Left two messages and no call backs. Have tried to call several times since then with no contact made. After reading the reviews seems they don’t care too much about their name or reputation. Seems to be an excuse for every negative response. Sad sad sad.

Hoosier Chimney Sweep is who I use to clean my chimney and maintain my heating system. They are very friendly and professional. I have no problem trusting them in my home. They have serviced our home for several years. I would recommend their business to any of my friends and family. They do a thorough job that gives me peace of mind that the job was done right and my home will not burn down.

NOT RECOMMENDED! Not because they did a bad job, or were rude, or because they made mistakes. This company gets 1 star because they did NO JOB. We had them do an inspection last June and take measurements for a chimney cap, improvements to our dryer vent, and water heater vent. They NEVER got back with us. After calling several times and being told "the estimate lady will call us back" we simply never heard from them. I'm very disappointed since we've already paid them $100 for inspection. Wish there were a way I could get that back. DO NOT CALL THEM. DO NOT EXPECT TIMELY SERVICE (IF YOU GET SERVICE
