Services
Patrick's Hardware dates back to 1895, when W.T. Patrick opened a general store on the corner of Queen Street and Back River Road in Hampton, VA. W.T.'s original general store survived two world wars, a great depression, and has been passed on to his sons, grandsons, and great grandsons. Over the years our general store began selling more and more hardware and eventually evolved into the hardware store known today as Patrick's Hardware.
We have priced our paint the best in Hampton Roads - if there is a lower price we'll match it. Whether you are painting your living room, staining the deck, reimaging an interior space or painting the whole exterior, use the best - Benjamin Moore Paints and Stains. Cheap paints and stains require more coats which means more gallons, money and time.
Patrick's Hardware provides a one-stop solution to all your property's hardware, paint, glass, window and door needs. We work with numerous property management companies to supply hardware and paint to their properties. We offer free delivery to your property. In addition, the Patrick's team through seamless coordination with our glass shop, Patrick's Glass, can service your property's glass, window and door needs.
Today, we typically refer to ourselves as Patrick's Hardware, which helps us keep us straight from mistaking anything operationally with our other business, Patrick's Glass. We service local homeowners, contractors, property managers, businesses, and local, state, & federal governments ranging from down the street to the broader Virginia and North Carolina markets.

1st time Would have been customer. My mother called to get service and was treated unfairly by Ryan Patrick who told her that driving from Queen St. in Hampton, just past the NNSY over the James River Bridge is not possible. Really?!?! Your business is Turning Down a customer because of where they live? Looks like we’ll be giving someone else our business that you just lost!!!

Wonderful, locally owned and est( over 120 years old!!! )hardware store. When we moved here I got a flyer with coupons welcoming me to the neighborhood, and the staff is so helpful and friendly. I will go here over Lowe’s any day. Only downside is it’s a bit more expensive, but they make up for it with customer service.

I have never posted a review in my life. However, I would be remiss if I let the opportunity pass to post my experience at Patrick's Hardware. I am completing a whole house paint project. On January 26, 2021, I visited Patrick's Hardware to view the Benjamin Moore paint pallet to select paint colors. As I entered the store a male employee was at the front of the store. He looked me straight in my face and did not utter one word; not a hello, welcome or how may I help you? I then proceeded to the customer counter where two employees were at the counter, they looked up at me as they continued

This is a very small store in downtown Hampton. They do meet federal purchase guidelines which makes this my go to place for work supplies. The customer service is great. Anything they don't have they can get for you in a couple of days. These days big stores are driving the home town place out of business. If you care about your community, shopping local makes good sense.

Very helpful remove and good selection of most good you will need. The inventory is to reasonable levels so they are able to have nearly anything you will need. I highly recommend checking them out and supporting a smaller local business. It's cool too think done if the antique tools at one time where sold new by that same store.
