Our story began in 1892 when the structure at 600 Whitehead Street - named for one of Key West's founding fathers - opened as a drug store. Through the years, it's been home to a number of grocery stores, offices, and Pop's Navy Clothing Store. Jeanna's Courthouse Grocery & Delicatessen opened in 1993, and today we are known as The Courthouse Deli & Whit's Frozen Custard.
This delicious new addition to our sandwich family has Oven Roasted Chicken Breast topped with Roasted Red Peppers, Banana Peppers, Pepper Jack Cheese, Onion, Lettuce, and Herbed Mayo served warm on a toasted Focaccia Roll. Boar's Head Tavern ham, roast beef, and salami, red onions, roasted red peppers, provolone cheese, olive tapenade spread, olive oil and glazed balsamic reduction on Cuban bread from Croissants de France.

Our many quality, fresh topping options lets you custom create your own unique flavor. Frozen custard recipes date back to the early 1900's but it wasn't until the 1920's that commercial frozen custard machines were invented.

This place has a little something for everyone! Deli for those needing a quick bite. Coffee bar for caffeine fix and cold custard. We had the milkshakes and coffee options on our way to the Hemingway Museum. If you do the same make sure to get a size you can finish on the walk since it is not allowed at the museum. Will visit again when in the area.

This place is wonderful! The people working are always friendly, and they give custard samples. This is one of the only, if not the only places on the island that do custard.
We get their fire roasted chicken sandwiches here. They NEVER disappoint. Today we were offered custard samples (m&m and Penguin tracks).. both were amazing! Don’t overlook this place when searching for a sweet treat. They also sell pints and incredible looking custard sandwiches with white chocolate macadamia cookies.

I love this place. It's hard for me to write a solid review because I'm just so generally enthralled. It's like when you look back on a past love and everything is all sunshine and lens flare like a 90's music video.
It's a cute little place and has a lot to offer. If you want some stuff to make sandwiches at home, they got you. Want some pre-made and/or pressed sandwiches, they're there for you.
