Huge thank you to Spectra - I needed a sudden inspection of my car and they were so accommodating. They got me in day of, and got me out within an hour or so. They were very professional, and gave me the reassurance I needed. I just moved to Frederick and haven't had the time to look for a local auto shop, but I think I just found the one I will return to when needed. Thanks Spectra!

Went to spectra yesterday for a state inspection. I fully expected to fail for a few things and surprisingly passed with flying colors. They had me in and out within 2 hours and were very courteous and respectful. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a shop with good communication and friendliness.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Made a same day appointment for a state inspection and they were great, even calling ahead to tell me if i could get there early or not (based on me mentioning i may arrive ahead of my appointment). Professional and trustworthy based on the interactions i watched for the hour i was in the waiting room. Very stringent with disinfecting high touch areas in your vehicle and their shop. The waiting room is very old school, no thrills, so if planning on bringing an easily bored kid beware. Will happily come here for all of my future services.

I have a 2012 Fiat 500 and kept getting the battery drained. These folks went over and above, making all kinds of effort to figure it out, testing module after module until they located the extremely unusual problem. They researched solutions online and found something that was practical and reasonably priced. I'm very grateful for their attention to detail. Every time I have used these folks they've been fabulous and I highly recommend them. Thank you Dave and thank you Josh! I will never take my car anywhere else.

I took my VW in because there was smoke coming from the motor - pretty sure that this was cam seals, but wanted to make sure. Nothing major because I wasn't losing much oil but, the smoke was annoying. They took a look and said it was seeping oil everywhere and for a little over $1100 they could take care of it. I asked them to double check the steering and brakes because this was alot of money. Money that may be better spent on the down payment for a new car. Dave said he would have his "best guy" take

Not the most convenient for us since we live near Middletown- but worth the trip. They have caught things we didn't mention, (yes, we were testing them!). They have also told us things didn't need to be done as far as maintenance such as changing fluids when they were still clean. Could have done it anyways and made a few more bucks off of us.
