I called DC Gates Experts after the springs on our garage door broke and both our vehicles were trapped inside with no way to open the door to the garage. DC Gates Experts was able to send Nick out the same day. Taking all precautions of Covid, Nick was able to get our door working again! I think this VERY essential worker for meeting our needs and will be sure to use DC Gates Experts for regular maintenance in the future. Worth giving them a call.

This has to be a fake company. I called them on Monday for fence repair. They told me someone would come between 1-2. Someone call around 12:30 pm which caught me off guard but it was ok. Now this is when I should've seen the red flags. I get a call from a personal number that he is here for the fence repair. I come outside, he looks at my fence, doesn't take any measurements, and told me he will get back to me with a quote through email. The guy told me to text him with some of my information. From all days our warehouse overhead door refused to open up on the day when a big delivery was on the way to us. I mean even if I wanted to imagine a worst day for the door to get stuck I couldn't. Remembered that I had DC Gates serviced the door about 3 years ago. Took a shot and gave them a call. And here comes the best part: Not even 20 minutes and had Amad on a ladder replacing the cables. Faster than that and he would be the flash ;)

I just had an amazing experience with Franky and the DC Gates Experts team. My garage door was getting stuck halfway up and I thought my springs needed to be replaced. Franky took time out of his busy day and scheduled an appointment with me for later the same day. He showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the problem and what needed to be done.
Instead of trying to up sale and offer a more costly repair to fix my springs, he told me my springs were fine and my garage door was just misaligned and all the springs need is some tension added to them. He took care of the problem in less than 20 minutes

I contacted DC Gates Experts based of recommendation from my brother who used their services couple times in the past. The work they did and the way they communicated with me is what made me come here and share my experience so others in DC will know it is a great company. Amid from DC Gates Experts showed up and was a great service rep. He pointed out the things i knew were wrong and then showed me the other broken parts of the garage door. I hate to leave this review. I emailed this company 3 times and called them and no avail. I have been trying to get into contact with them and can't even get a "hey, were busy thanks for reaching out we'll be in touch" at the least. It's unfortunate because they have great reviews and I wanted to use them but.. oh well.

By calling DC Gates Experts, I was able to not only gate my garage door repaired but they gave us recommendations on our automatic driveway gate. We ended up having them serviced that as well. Great company with very knowledgeable and talented people. They work like professionals. They come ready with welding machines and many parts to repair I think any garage door or automatic gate in Maryland. Saved their number, suggest to you to do the same and call early since they are very busy.

Fun to work with experts who can do multiple things. We just had enough of repairs of our barn doors and the gates. We just wanted something that will stop the need to call local company ever second week. And it is not just one company. We had one who serviced our drive way automatic gate, and another to service our barn doors. But not anymore. DC Gates experts changed all 3 arm motors, and since then everything is working beautifully. And one small but big extra: new arm motors can be connected to a smartphone. Make things a lot easier.

I have a lot of respect for someone who drive to your home to help you even when it is late and freezing outside. Called last night and asked for service on our garage door. Got a window for today 8:30AM. Was about to call at 8:30 when no one showed when I got a call from the tech telling me he is outside. Already a good start.
He opened and closed the door few times and showed me a broken wheel that caused the problem. His recommendation was to replace all 10 wheels to make sure this will not happen again. And promised me the door will work better. And he was so right! The door got back to work

I learned something important from the technician of DC gates experts: let the experts do what they do best. I assumed that replacing garage door spring is as easy as 1 2 3. Watched couple video tutorials and drove to Home Depot to buy springs. It almost cost me a finger! Be careful.

One of the garage doors stopped working. We called local garage door company that service Alexandria and they sent 2 technicians. We paid $375 for the service, and left with a garage door that jumped out of the track the next day. We called and complained and they told us that it is our fault without even checking.
Anyway, we called DC Gates Experts and they sent William 3 hours later. What a charming guy. He felt our frustration from the previous company and fixed the door for $50 only. The best!
It has been 3 weeks, and all is good with the door. Now DC Gates experts is on my "Trusted contractors

I was able to have them come and fix my gates this week and they worked on my time which is great and when they showed up those days the work was done pretty fast and super efficiently .
Jerry has a lot of experience so he knew what I was trying to get as soon as I explained what I wanted and he had the best prices. Would gladly hire them to do another job

Needed garage door repairs. Got a recommendation about DC Gates experts from another contractor I used in the past but only do commercial jobs. And did not get disappointed! Very knowledgeable, and very friendly. Completed the service on first visit, and made our garage door work so quiet again without replacing the opener. Tip for anyone who use garage doors: Buy some silicon lubricant and spray the door every 3 or for months. You will see the difference right away. Highly recommended for garage gates repairs in Washington DC.

I would rate DC Gates Experts 6 stars if I could! This is the best gates Repair I have dealt with! Dave and his crew did a great job on my fence and gates. It's an impressively sturdy, beefy fence that they build. Dave is very responsive and any installation issues that came up were quickly solved.
He made it very clear that he would do what's needed to give me a fence that I'm happy with.... and I am.
