After 2 years of unsuccessful job hunting, after I moved to Santa Cruz, I finally researched and found Brian from his website. There were many professional sounding people but after a phone conversation I decided to give Brian a try. My background doesn't require any technical specialty having come from a 15 year career in mental health. He asked the right questions and took the old resume along with a list of current jobs and turned it into gold.
My second attempt to send it out resulted in a job that would have been on my most desired list. Thank you Brian!

Brian Boortz has been my resume writer since 1986. I find him to be professional, well-connected and passionate about his work and serving the client.
After a recent layoff, I again contacted Brian (ironically, the HR person who handled my exit interview suggested I get a resume writer) and in the course of two afternoons I had a complete and updated resume and cover letter. I view the writing process as a collaborative effort - the more creative and precise a client is in describing their job history, the better the language of the finished product.
