Terrible experience! Called me very stand-off ish about a my appointment (that I wrongly booked) and without even walking me through the process (since I was never at his hair saloon) told me how he wouldn’t see me because of my mistake of buying the wrong appointment. Then he said if I wasn’t understanding what he was saying then we wouldn’t be a good fit. Me, myself, enjoy quality of service but also quality of people. Very disappointed

So happy with my experience with Rodney. I came to him with a challenging situation. My hair had been lightened too much and the prior colorist basically gave me fiery red hair that has slowly turned more orange. Needless to say, I was very unhappy with the color and being new to Scottsdale, I wasn't sure where to go to get it fixed.

Spoke with Rodney on the phone and scheduled an appointment directly with him. Two weeks later I show up to my appointment and he tells me that he doesn't take new clients therefore cannot color or cut my hair & turned me away. That would have been good information to know when I spoke with him on the phone prior to making an appointment. When we spoke on the phone we talked about the length of my hair that it was short and I needed base color and highlight. The confirmation I received via email even stated "first time haircut & redesign along with base color and highlight touchup

I went to Rodney's salon after my longtime stylist made a mistake with my hair color. She combined two processes that apparently should never be done together, and I ended up with that most dreaded of hair disasters--brassy, orange hair!!! I drove over two hours to have a consult with Rodney. He spent the full half hour with me, and explained in great detail what had gone wrong with the previous stylist, and how he would fix it. Rodney is amazing! I went to his studio as a hair color virgin and very nervous about my first hair color experience. We had a consultation and I basically told him I was bored with my hair and he suggested a balayage (I didn't know exactly what it was). He explained to me what it was (a sort of ombré type thing) and I was definitely sold because he had such confidence in his vision! I went back to get my hair done and it looks SO amazing!!!! It's so perfect and beautiful and I won't go to anyone else now for my hair! Also, his assistant did an amazing job on my trim and style!

Rodney is definitely the best you could get! For a long time, I had been using box color from the drugstore. I walked in with my hair looking more yellow than blond, and extremely damaged. Rodney and his assistant Micheal evaluated my hair, and determined what I needed to achieve the look I desired. They spent over 5 hours repairing and coloring! They completely brought my hair back to life, and it was even better than what I imagined. On top of that, they are kind, compassionate, and down to earth.

I moved to Arizona from Seattle 3 years ago where I had the same stylist for almost eight years. I must say.. I am very picky when it comes to getting my hair done. Rodney exceeded my expectations! I absolutely LOVE my hair!! I am a brunette and I have always had a hard time finding a stylist that could color my hair (highlights). Rodney takes the time with you and knows what is right for you.
