Thai cooking is uniquely different from other Asian cuisines. It is influenced by both Chinese & Indian cuisines, but is set apart by local herbs & spices, creating many dishes truly unique to Thai. Rice is the heart of the meal in Thailand. It is the basic of our diet. At the dinner table, there may be as many as 20 dishes but always a big hot plate of rice.

Went here since it was recommended for takeout.. we got there early so we decided to stay and eat there. I quickly realized that they could care less about the people dining in, they had too many takeout orders to take care of us. We order the fried wing and a coconut soup. The fried wings looked dark and tasted like they had been fried in very old and overused oil. The coconut soup was underwhelming and again tasted as it was made days before. I had ordered a glass of wine that took so long that we decide to just pay for what we had order and leave to find a different place to eat. Also the place

Probably the best Thai in steamboat. Have never left dissatisfied and everyone is always happy with their dishes. I’d say the spice level is a notch down compared most Thai places I’ve been going to in Texas. I got the 4 and it was a good heat not a too painful heat if you like spice. Haven’t been able to order wrong on the menu so far.

Service is aweful. When we arrived, hardly anyone there so we sat at the bar. It took 40 minutes to take our order and another 45 minutes to get our food. By the time we got our food, there were people lined up out the door in the cold, complaining to get their take out orders. Some were there at least 45 minutes trying to get their food. Our food was cold and I'm sure the take out orders weren't much better. Customers trying to eat in were leaving because of the mismanagement. We never got our drinks, but were charged for them. When we asked to have them removed from our bill, they only removed

For being located right in the Steamboat resort, the Thai food from Talay is delicious and comes at a good price. We started with the Gyoza potstickers and egg rolls, both fried up well and appetizing. Our Pad Thai and Kee Mao noodles dishes were delicious, savory, and filling. We would definitely go back again.

Food and drinks were brought out promptly, all cooked well, and tasted fresh. Highlights were the coconut rice, fried calamari, Massaman curry (we ordered with chicken, level 3 spiciness was just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming), and the green tea boba. Liquor orders are generous and fair priced. Staff was delightful and friendly. Recommend if you are looking to get off the downtown beaten path and don't mind paying for parking ($5/hr) near the lodge shopping.
