John Stirewalt graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in Architecture. Since then, he has built his company through his dedication and passion in this field. Up to this point, he has designed over 110 new homes on Figure Eight Island and renovated an additional sixty, and the numbers continue to climb.
In addition to Figure Eight Island, his homes may be found in Wrightsville Beach, Wilmington, Landfall, River Landing, Topsail Beach and scattered along the Intracoastal Waterway. Remaining a small independent architect, John gives personal attention to the design and cost of each project.

Commercial work includes many local fine Restaurants as well as a chain of restaurants located within malls located in NC, SC, VA and Kentucky. Other commercial projects include Churches, Banks, Shopping Centers, Marinas, Clubhouses, Lodges, an 80 bed Assisted Living Facility, several private Education Facilities and Boat Storage facilities.
