Scuba Venture

We're happy to hear you're interested in becoming one of the thousands of people who learn to scuba dive each year. You can complete the classroom part of your training with our digital online program and go over highlights at our Reading, Pa. Dive Center classrooms. You practice scuba skills in a heated pool, and attend two days of open water training diving.

Snorkeling is actually one of the first skills that new scuba divers learn, skills like clearing your mask or the proper use of diving fins. What if my ears hurt when I go to the bottom of a swimming pool, or when I am snorkeling?. Assuming you do not have any irregularities in your ears or sinuses, this discomfort is the normal effect of water pressure pressing in on your ears.

2. After you have completed the online classroom part of your scuba training, please contact us to schedule your pool training sessions. During the pool sessions you will train with a certified ScubaVenture instructor and you will learn the skills necessary to become a scuba diver.

You complete your training and become a certified scuba diver for life by demonstrating the skills that you have learned during Open Water Training Dives at a local dive site, or even during one of our exciting diving vacations.

In the past, becoming a Nitrox Diver required long hours in the classroom, learning how to work obscure formulas and use complex dive tables. No more. Through SDI's (Scuba Diving International) on-line training program, you can complete most of the required academic study in the comfort and convenience of your home or office.
