I have spent over a decade studying trees and landscape management in various capacities. I studied Forestry at Virginia Tech and first discovered tree climbing as a profession while there. I pursued horticultural training from the US National Arboretum and Arnold Arboretum and then worked at the Trustees of Reservations for many years on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
From there, I joined a tree crew in Manhattan, New York City (yes, there are trees there). It was one of the most challenging and colorful endeavors of my life. I learned many techniques and met many people from all over the world. I became a Certified Arborist while in NYC, but learning about tree care didn't stop there.

Consult with the Arborist about your tree's health, hazard level or to create a management plan.
To earn an ISA Certified Arborist credential, you must be trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of arboriculture. ISA Certified Arborists have met all requirements to be eligible for the exam, which includes three or more years of full-time, eligible, practical work experience in arboriculture and/or a degree in the field of arboriculture, horticulture, landscape architecture, or forestry from a regionally accredited educational institute.

Charlotte was at my property for 2 days, clearing a wooded area of invasive vines that were not only ugly, but strangling healthy shrubs and trees on my lot. As an arborist, she brings great skill in identifying what needs to come down, pruned or simply cleaned up. She also applied pesticide as needed and recommended a limited on-going spray program to keep the vines at bay. Highly recommend Charlotte!

I needed to have three trees pruned because their lower limbs were touching my building. I wanted them to look natural, afterwards, not savaged. Charlotte responded promptly, listened to my concerns and did a fine job.
She was pleasant and professional. I recommend her highly, and I plan to call on her expertise again when my trees need attention.
