Our desire is that each piece of furniture we create be a multi-generational piece that is cherished and passed down the family tree. Nature has provided the perfect canvas to create our works of art and as craftsmen we believe that our job is to highlight that beauty and give it a new purpose.
That is why we believe very strongly in the process of selecting our wood. We never use plywood, veneer or any of the faux-woods that you see so often in big furniture stores. When we purchase our timber we look for wood that is grown, lumbered or salvaged in the United States.

Our two founders, Daniel and Lucas, first met two decades ago through the friendship of their fathers. Despite growing up in different states they managed to maintain a friendship over the years, and as fate would have it, they both moved to a city other than where they grew up: Boston. Lucas had become a carpenter, learning the trade from his father who owned a successful business building and installing custom kitchens.

There's a few things that you need to consider when requesting a size. First, think about how many people are sitting around your table most days of the year - we suggest 24 - 30 per person. Second, how much space do you have? This question will determine whether or not it's worth it to make a larger table or to get extensions (see "Extensions" below).

Daniel and Lucas are wonderful to work with.They are a professional and talented duo. They designed two custom dining tables for us ,for two different homes and the outcome was beyond our expectations! They were patient and held our tables while we had delays in construction. I ordered a custom table and am happy with it. It took about 2.5 months, but they set the expectations with me, so I knew this was their timeframe. Everyone at the shop was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They took their time explaining everything about the different types of wood they work with and how it would/could work with what we wanted. They also delivered it and set it up at home for us.
If I had to make one criticism is that, the table isn't finished at the bottom, just the top. Now, we don't use the bottom of the table obviously, so unless someone can prove or explain why

This is the place to buy your dining table! We bought a reclaimed wood table and just love it. The quality is great and the company is easy to work with. We had a small problem with a hole in the top and they sent one of their woodworkers to fix it. The fixed the issue. I highly recommend Lighthouse Wood for their fantastic tables and professionalism.

We love our table! We've been looking for a while for a dining room table. When we couldn't find one that fit our style, we decided to go custom. After more time looking for a good custom table, we finally found Lighthouse Woodworks. It was an awesome experience from beginning to end. They were very informative and helpful in selecting the right table for us. They were responsive during the construction and finished on time. The final product was exactly what we wanted. Lighthouse made 2 absolutely beautiful dressers for us! We get complimented on them all the time. They look amazing and they function really well too (smooth open/close). So much better than the mass produced junk at furniture stores and were not even much more expensive than a higher-end chain store. They also delivered them for us and moved them up to the third floor included in the price (they are quite heavy as solid wood). Would highly recommend Lighthouse and will likely use them again for some more furniture soon!

The super nice guys at Lighthouse made us this 12 foot long solid walnut table with iron legs. It is a work of art. Smooth rounded edges, thick long boards that have character and no seams along the longer length. Solid smooth joins. Easy to care for. It's even better than we had hoped it would be. Strong, solid, beautiful, and seats 14. Love love love it. This table will be on the earth way longer than I will.

We cannot speak more highly about our experience with Daniel and Lucas at Lighthouse Furniture. Our dresser and storage bed were both made to the exact design and specifications that we had asked for and hoped, and are solid lifetime pieces. They are absolutely gorgeous and unique, and even smell amazing. Every friend we've shown them to is jealous.
Daniel and Lucas are super pleasant, and delivered the pieces themselves. We enjoyed chatting with them a lot!

The tables in the default Yelp picture for Lighthouse are actually my kitchen and coffee tables. You will never find a better group of people to build you furniture. Lucas is a perfectionist, a brilliant woodworker, and one of the easiest people to deal with that you'll ever find. Daniel is super personable, and the two together create an unbeatable team.
