Jonathan Schlegel is a husband, father and an estate planning attorney in Upper Arlington, Ohio. An Upper Arlington High School graduate, Jonathan received his bachelor's degree in political science from Virginia Tech and subsequently his law degree from Coastal Law in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2009, Jonathan returned to his hometown of Columbus and has been practicing law in Ohio ever since.
The Last Will & Testament is part of our basic estate planning package. This is a document needed by any person over the age of 18 regardless of financial circumstances. A properly executed Last Will & Testament will save your loved ones an inordinate amount of time and money in the event of your death.

After reading the positive reviews I thought to give Jonathan a try but his lack of professionalism and unfamiliarity with Cleveland has forced me to use another attorney who is more professional and local to Cleveland.
Jonathan was responsive in the beginning when earning my business. We spoke on December the 27th in preparation for filing eviction on Wednesday the 29th. He did not say anything was amiss and in fact confirmed his office will file on the 29th. The 29th came and I called and emailed asking for confirmation of first and second cause filings. No response. Thursday the 30th came and

Jonathan assisted me with evicting a problem tenant. He was clear and concise in explaining the process and always kept me up-to-date on his progress. His fees were explained on day number one and were very reasonable. I worked with Jonathan in order to resolve a very difficult rental situation that I was dealing with as a landlord. He did exactly what I needed which was to get back possession of my property quickly. He and his staff did what they said they would do,and were responsive to my calls and emails. When you are dealing with a landlord-tenant issue, call his office . They will get the job done. Every day we all pay insurance for things that will likely never happen, in my case I paid a very reasonable fee to insure that things got done correctly, and quickly. Highest recommendation.

My husband and I had already had a trust in place for our special needs son, we had previously done estate planning years ago with another attorney. We decided to contact Jonathan Schlegel just to update things. To our surprise the previous attorney not being experienced in dealing with Special Needs advised us improperly. Our son would of kept his medicaid benefits, but anything left in the Trust at the time of his death would go to the State, not on to our surviving family. Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable about the tenant-landlord relevant to my situation. I secured his services for an eviction in Hamilton County. He was extremely dedicated and responsive to all of my needs and we successfully won the eviction hearing on the first try. I would definitely use his services again and I highly recommend him if you find yourself in a situation where you need an eviction attorney.
