Founded in 1984 by Clark Scherer, Scherer Construction started out of a garage, with a truck, and a vision: to deliver quality projects that exceed customer expectations by providing a seamless construction experience. Today, Scherer Construction continues to fulfill that vision which has led us to expand our services to reach beyond the typical needs of our customers.

Our team recently completed the first stand-alone Gate Express Carwash facility in Jacksonville, FL.

Erik Otte is the President of Scherer Construction of North Florida, LLC. He is a graduate of the University of North Florida with a degree in Building Construction and a decade of experience on large scale government projects. Erik joined our team in 2015 as a project manager and quickly cemented himself as a leader in our company, successfully managing not only his many projects, but also the concrete division of our company.
Josh Dixon is the Executive Vice President of Scherer Construction of North Florida, LLC. Josh graduated from Flagler College, then joined our team as an intern while in the Masters program at the M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction at UF, with a goal of eventually relocating back to the First Coast.
