It is the mission of the Academy of Ballet to properly train and expose students to the art of ballet. It is our goal to develop a lifelong appreciation for this art as a dancer and as a knowledgeable member of the audience. The Academy of Ballet has been in continuous operation since 1958. Our curriculum includes Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Ballet Technique.
Additional classes include Partnering, Character, Modern, Floor Barre, and Variations. Adult classes include Ballet Technique (beginning, intermediate and advanced) and Ballet Exercise classes during daytime hours. The Academy of Ballet is located within the Grand Opera House, a Dubuque landmark, and a thriving community theater.

Checks should be made out to "Academy of Ballet" and mailed to our office address: Academy of Ballet, 2085 Mullin Rd., Dubuque, IA 52001. Students new to the Academy of Ballet may email or call at any time of the year to ask questions or be placed on a contact list. Individuals on the contact list will receive registration information when available each summer.
The Academy of Ballet offers a variety of classes for adult students, ages high school and older. Take advantage of being in our beautiful and inspiring studio with accomplished, knowledgeable instructors. We concentrate on giving our adult students a dynamic workout through the exercises of ballet, modern dance, and floor barre.
