Minus 1 star for bad experience with office staff implying i had handle my outstanding 14 day old bill before treatment.

I recently needed to have my hammer toes straightened. I was able to get into see
Dr. Akhbari within a week, and as soon as my insurance approved it, I was in the office with the first surgery. I felt the Dr. had a complete and total handle on the situation. His bright smile would put the most timid at ease. He kept me engaged in conversation the entire time and before i knew it (appx 5 min) the surgery on BOTH toes was over!!! I am about 8 weeks out since surgery was done on the second foot and couldn't be happier. My toes are straight, no lasting effects, and my toes no longer rub in my

Dr. Akhbari is a genuine class act, and definitely the doctor to see. I told him of the situation of my foot, and upon further inspection of my other foot,he recommended the same procedure so I would not have issues in the future. After the minor surgery was performed, and following his instructions, over the next week, I had absolutely zero pain, and since then, no regrown. Him and his staff are amazing. Highly recommended. Dr. Akhbari is a great foot and ankle specialist. We were visiting from out of state and had to go see someone for an animal bite. He was able to fit us in his busy schedule, same day, and offer me a very thorough treatment. He is very knowledgeable and his office staff are very patient and courteous. Couldn't ask for more! I highly recommend him for your foot issues!

I recently saw Dr. Akhbari for my chronic heel pain. I had been to other doctors who just couldn't seem to figure it out. When I saw Dr. Akhbari, he took his time to explain everything thoroughly and answer all of my questions. He made sure I felt comfortable with the treatment and relieved my pain in a few visits. I highly recommend Dr. Akhbari!

Dr. Akhbari Removed my ingrown nails on both my big toes. I have been uncomfortable for 30 years. I was in fear of the pain that it would cause me to have them removed. There was no pain at all. He numbed up my toes did what he does and now I feel like a whole new person. I can wear high heels and pointed toes like I never have been able to before. The recuperation time was minimal. I could wear shoes immediately.I appreciate the office Staff also. Everyone in the office is very professional. Dr. Akhbari has a wonderful bedside manner. He is very charming.

The office is very nice and conveniently located. When I went several years ago for bilateral foot (and hand) stiffness and pain that was worst in the mornings, the doctor missed a possible diagnosis that, to summarize, should have been patently obvious to any healthcare provider, is treatable, and where early detection helps. To my mind the oversight was egregious enough that I thought I'd post. He did suggest I needed $300-400 orthotics, but luckily I have other doctors in my life who diagnosed the real problem. If I had to go back I might try the newer doctor.

Went in to see my GP in the morning and he called Dr. Kaveh Akhbari and spoke to him about my condition. Dr. Kaveh Akhbari was able to get me in to see my foot that afternoon. When my schedule was too tight to allow him to operate that afternoon Dr. Kaveh Akhbari squeezed me in the next morning and operated on my toe to relieve the pressure. He was very professional and concerned with my condition. I am a type 1 diabetic and really need to keep my feet in good health. I am in good hands with this office.

Had to write another excellent review for this practice. After my last initial office visit and procedure for my heel pain, I was immediately followed up by Dr. Akhbari asking me my condition and whether I am experiencing any pain/discomfort in my heel. I found that very comforting and professional which I paid them another visit for my other foot regarding an ingrown toenail that I have been ignoring for awhile.
I was able to make an appointment for that very fast and yet again they took care of my problem easily. Very professional and friendly experience

I'm not so sure I want to admit to the Yelp World that I have foot?/feet? issues...but guess it's sort of obvious when I am yelping Dr Akhbari with Gavilan Foot Care Center.
Stellar, top rated service. Very friendly staff...gets you in quickly...within 1 or 2 days of calling for an appointment. Office is clean and tidy though...they might need a slight update in décor. :) I've never had a bad experience and I hope this yelp rating encourages people to seek the help of the Gavilan Foot Care Center.

I went in yesterday to see how soon I could get an appointment for KILLER ingrown toenails. They got me in in two hours (as a new patient, no less). The Dr. saw me early and fixed 6 of the 8 without surgery. He had his staff come in 45 minutes early just to get me in for the other two, and I was out of there within an hour. He's the kind of Dr that does whatever he can to minimize pain- avoiding surgery if possible, and actually making sure the numbing agent kicks in before starting, giving additional dosage if needed. I hate people touching my feet (more than just being ticklish), but I trust

I am so glad that I made an appointment with Dr. Fisher. I was having a lot of pain in my foot. We are new to this area and finding a new doctor can be challenging to say the least. I did my research and chose Dr. Fisher. Dr. Fisher and his staff were both professional and helpful. They made me feel very comfortable and took time to answer all my questions.

Was charged for something that I was not given a proper financial arrangement for. Was never told what the charges would be and then when questioned, the office staff in the front was rude and unhelpful. Then, to top it off, Dr. Fisher told my referring MD that I was making trouble by questioning the bill and I was subsequently dismissed from my primary care doctor. This office needs to make patients aware of the financial burden that they may incur due to having treatment. It's just a courtesy that should be given to patients. Also, if you do have questions, you should be able to inquire
