Services
Prime Medical Disposal, LLC helps clients manage and dispose of Regulated Medical Waste including red bag materials, sharps, outdated pharmaceuticals, trace chemotherapy and pathological waste. PMD is Kern County's only locally owned and operated medical waste transport company and we operate within the core values of safety, compliance and a passion for customer satisfaction.
As with other medical waste streams, following best practices when it comes to disposal of trace chemo waste is important. Waste containers designed for chemotherapy can be obtained from Prime Medical Disposal and can be picked up and safely disposed of on a regular basis-depending on your needs. PMD can provide pails and sharps containers that can be placed in your treatment facility according to compliance regulations.
Are you aware that OSHA may fine you up to $12,000 for each non-compliant item on their checklist? Are you current on your MSDS/SDSs, Safety Training, and Safety Plans? Have you conducted your own workplace OSHA audit? A person may store that pharmaceutical waste at an onsite location for not longer than 90 days when the container is ready for disposal, unless prior written approval from the enforcement agency is obtained.
Here at Prime Medical Disposal, we do not offer residential/one-time mobile services. In order to maintain compliance, our clients have retaining services in accordance with the Medical Waste Management Act of 2017. We encourage all potential customers interested in our services to contact us for more information on how to get started with our reoccurring services.
