Vegas Theatre
Vegas Theatre Company began with the name Cockroach Theatre Company which was established in 2003 as a live theatre production company performing at various locations in and around southern Nevada. It has continuously operated since, establishing residency in its current home - the 80-seat black box theater inside Art Square in the City of Las Vegas Arts District - in 2013.

At this location, it has produced, co-produced, facilitated and offered its venue for the production of plays, adult acting workshops, children's theatre camps, opera, novelty acts, improv, and theatre festivals. It is run by an all-volunteer staff and a corps of dozens of volunteers; cast and crew for each production are paid a stipend on a contract basis.
Services
Resourcefulness is built into the Vegas Theatre Company ethos. Still, producing high quality theatre is a costly endeavor on many levels. We rely on donations by individual patrons and local businesses who understand the value that small theaters like this bring to the community, in order to fund our work and operations.
Founded in 2003 as Cockroach Theatre Company, Vegas Theatre Company is now one of the Valley's longest-running and most-regarded theater groups. We are in our 18th season of creating live theater, and our 9th season producing from our downtown home--Art Square Theatre. We opened Art Square Theatre in 2012 with an initial crowdfunded investment of $23,000.

The theatre is called the Art Square Theatre and this year, the company changed its name to Vegas Theatre Company. Their goal is to become a regional theatre company.

Over the years, I have seen 43 plays at this and other venues and they have been cast very well and the sets are done quite well. The theatre is on the small side, seating less than 100 at maximum. It is always interesting to attend a
