I grew up in a family of woodworkers and, as a child, used scraps of wood from my dad's job sites to create toy boats, skateboards, tree houses, and more. If it could be made with wood, I built it. As an adult, I resolved to turn my passion into a business. I started Hein's Wood Werks in Newport Beach, CA in 1978.
For 25 years, I worked in California with fantastic and creative clients as well as some of the most respected designers and builders in the area. Though my business was a success, it felt like something was missing. I decided it was time to move to a place where I could enjoy the outdoors and a richer quality of life.

Larry is an impeccable craftsman. I hired him for a very intricate job. He brought a concept to reality that went beyond my expectations. He put a ton of effort into each detail and created mockups for review. The end result was a stunning piece of art that I am extremely proud of. He's just an all around great guy who cares about his work and does what he says. Larry was referred to me by a friend and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. He's a professional and exceptional at his craft. I look forward to working with him in the near future.

I had seen Larry's work for years and always loved it. I was thrilled when I finally had a chance to have him design and build a piece for us. After describing what we were looking for he came up with a sample drawing. It was not exactly what we had in mind. When we told him he was extremely accommodating. We had a more detailed conversation and he quickly worked on a second option. He nailed it! ( A little carpentry humor!) It was just what we wanted.
