As the fourth owner and caretaker of Magnolia Hill, the Dr. Morgan Smith estate, a job we do joyously, the history of this estate was recently the focus of the November Pulaski County Historical Society meeting. His father was a colonel in the Confederate army. Married in 1890, he and his wife moved to Little Rock and reopened his practice.

Alda was born to do what she does! She made our wedding everything we’d always dreamed of! It was a stress free easy weekend where we could just focus getting married while she made every detail perfect. I cannot give Alda enough stars! Any hiccup we encountered (which was very few) was handled professionally and fixed before I even found out so there was nothing for me to stress about! Could not imagine having our wedding planned by anyone else!

Our daughter was married to the man of her dreams at the venue of her dreams, Alda’s Magnolia Hill. The wedding was outside by the pond under the red and gold hued trees. She arrived at the ceremony in a horse drawn carriage. The reception was held in a beautifully decorated barn. I had so many guests say this was the best wedding they’d ever been to. Alda and Buddy made that happen. It’s like having family plan and host your wedding. Alda was so easy to work. Everything was absolutely perfect.

There truly are just not enough great things I can say about this venue, the amenities, the staff or our experience. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding venue. It fell into our lap and we had NO idea what a blessing that would be.

We got married here on 10-10-20 and it was the absolute best wedding experience we could have asked for. Alda and Buddy put SO much effort into making our day special, I really could have never imagined how amazing it was going to be. Beautiful venue, wonderful staff, and the best night of our lives. Highly recommend considering this for your venue!!!
