Join us as we celebrate 29 wonderful years of bringing professional theatre entertainment to Anchorage. The Golden Girls meets the Odd Couple! RIPCORD is a hilarious comedy of two elderly women thrown together by a wicked sense of humor. A good room in a senior living facility is prime real estate to cantankerous Abby, who is forced to share with chipper Marilyn.
In addition to our Black Box Theatre, Cyrano's has two other spaces available for rentals. Cyrano's ArtSpace and Cyrano's Gallery are versatile, multi-purpose rooms featuring laminate flooring and gallery lighting. Great for workshops, classes, dance events (we have marley flooring available), gatherings, and smaller performances.
What: Fallen Angels - a sexy farce by Noel Coward set in the 1920's. Best friends now happily married to others, Julia and Jane both once counted the dashing Frenchman Maurice as their lover. Guess who's back in town and requesting the pleasure of the ladies company? Coward at his inimitable best, the story is a champagne cocktail of wit and charm.
Cyrano's Theatre Company offers live performances in a variety of genres, which challenge and delight thousands in our community every year. Help fuel the work of this uniquely Anchorage theatre company and send a message-loud and clear-that opportunities for professional and aspiring local actors, directors and theatre production wizards matter in Anchorage.

First time visit. Didn’t know what to expect. It was a 3 person play which made us a bit skeptical... it was phenomenal!! The people at the door were inviting. It was nice to be able to purchase beverages and bring them into their cozy/ intimate theatre. The set was well put together. The supporting crew really had their stuff together!! The acting was superb. The play had all the right components. We will definitely be back! It truly exceeded all expectations!!

My wife and I took another couple on Valentine's Day to a new production, "I love you, your perfect, now change". It was without a doubt the worst Valentine's Day due to this ridiculously bad production! Extremely poor taste.

The play was marvelous. I love this small theater, the seats were comfortable and the actors grand! There is beer, wine, and cheese served before the play and during break. I will be back.... its a special treat to see a play live.

Some of the BEST local theater, acting, building, beverage and snacks (Yes Bistro). Highly recommend getting the 10 ticket Punch Cards and attending often.

The new venue is terrific. I’ve directed two shows for this company and I appreciated the help of the staff, actors and technicians. This is a quality professional theatre.

It was great venue is nice and clean. More intimate and cozy than a massive theater. Actors/Actresses we're fantastic. Had a fantastic date night with the wife and will be going back again and again. I definitely prefer it over the PAC

Saw Orson's Shadow at Cyrano's. It was an engaging, funny, and well acted performance by all involved. I first thought, it's quite a small venue. Then I realized how much that intimacy added to the performance.

Saw Disenchanted here. Cute show. Cute theater. I'd definitely come back. Come early to get good parking and pick your seats. They have a lounge serving pre prepared appetizers and wine. Average prices.

Saw 'she kills monsters' - it was a fabulous performance ... made me
Laugh and cry and cheer! The venue was comfortable, YES bistro provided refreshments. A very good way to spend the evening. The show touched home... everyone has struggles... is looking for acceptance and love. There is hope that if we travel this life /adventure with friends... we face adversity and challenges and hopefully grow in our faith in ourselves and in community with friends. AND... we have FUN along the way... thank you!!!

Saw the Great American Trailer Park here. Loved every moment. So impressed with the caliber of the acting, singing, choreography, staging and musical support. What a great gift to the local community -- and visitors to Anchorage should definitely take advantage and see this local performance. Awesome job!!

The heat wasn't working properly last time we visited so that made for a chilly setting! But there are nice snacks and wine/beer selection and we had a lot of fun watching the production. I do wish the chairs wrapped a bit more around the stage so that you didn't have to crane your neck to see the stage when sitting at the far ends. Know that they are new to this location and hoping they get all the details worked out.

This theater is a gem in Anchorage Alaska; home to many local talent. They have quite the task of producing about 16 productions a year, not including reading series and collaborations with nearby producing companies.

The space is quaint and intimate which enhances the theater experience. The seating is comfy & quite comfortable.

Adorable little playhouse that is casual, intimate & friendly. I like that the small stage and limited seating ensure you are no further than 4-5 rows from the actors. During intermission, the small lobby facilitates actual mingling with other patrons. Musicians who play during interludes are quite good. Some productions are great, some are so-so, but all are enjoyable. Alaska is lucky to have a place for live theater like this one.

We love Cyranos! They are professional actors who treat each performance as if they were on a New York stage. We cannot run out of good things to say :).

We had a two for one ticket deal, and had to get our tickets from the playhouse directly... we called for a week prior to the show and NO ONE returned our calls! That, I must say, was very frustrating. However, the show we saw... Jihad Jones and the Kalasnikov Babes was a fun one!

Cyrano's is so small front row seating is possibly three feet from the stage area which makes for quite the experience. The size and decor of the place is cozy and inviting, the people involved all bring a lot of nice energy, and the two plays I've seen there have been great.

Overall, if you're interested

Cyrano's is a tiny theater with a lot of personality. We saw a play called "Bark" with a cast of six dogs -- well, people in the roles of dogs. It was fun, well done, thoroughly enjoyable. It was the high point of a weekend visit from Fairbanks, 350 miles to the north. My wife and I will be back, probably as often as we get to Anchorage. If I had to pick a word or two to describe the experience, I would mention "comfortable" and "relaxed". It was also nice to have a glass of wine and no hassles while watching the play. Highly recommended (based on a single experience

Cyrano's is such a fun hole in the wall. I'd lived in Alaska for about twenty years before i finally checked it out and was so impressed! It isn't Broadway, but it was enjoyable. The wine prices weren't outrageous and it had a very comfortable feel to it. It is affordable and convenient--there's no reason to not check it out and be pleasantly surprised that Anchorage has so much to offer that isn't touristy.

Great place to see some really innovative and well produced plays. The bookstore is really great too - they've had poetry slams and readings there. Its wonderful that Anchorage has a place like this.
