I hesitate to leave this review, but I think it’s important to share my experience. I took two classes here, and left both of them feeling crumby about myself. I wanted some help adapting a drawing I did into a piece, but that must have rubbed Greg the wrong way. He was super attentive to others in the class, but barely spoke to me except near the end of my project and mocked me for saying I was “creative”. I genuinely wanted to learn, so it was disappointing. Others in the class enjoyed it, though. Greg seems like a nice dude to others, but I sensed there was something about me that he didn’t

From the moment we arrived at Greg Stefan Studios, we were greeted by an eager Greg to get ready and teach us his skills. We were instructed to fill out forms and pick out a design that we wanted to work on that was the perfect size and difficulty for someone who was starting to learn about stained glass. Greg instructed our small class from start to finish so that we were able to leave with a piece we we were proud of. He provided lots of encouragement and was always available for questions and additional help from cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering. I would highly recommend taking the

I attended a private lesson with Greg. He used the perfect amount of gentle instruction - he clearly communicated what I needed to do with the glass and why, and I always felt comfortable letting him know if I needed additional help or another explanation. He spent a ton of extra time with me and I went from not knowing anything about making stained glass to creating this beautiful piece with his help. He creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the studio and I’m already signed up for another workshop!

Making stained glass was a fun date day (~3.5 hours for ~$50). I went with a group of ~6 and Greg was very friendly and knowledgeable. He has music playing throughout.
He has ~10 designs to choose from (turtle, whale, lotus flower, sun, shamrock...). If you go once, you can bring your own design the next time.
He starts with some practice glass showing you the proper way to cut glass and break it with the proper tools. Then he lets you choose from the basic colors of the rainbow - ask if you don't see a color and he'll grab you some more from the back. You cut out pieces from

My wife and I recently did the 3.5 hour stained glass workshop with Greg Stefan. I can say without any doubt that I will definitely be back here to do more stained glass work. The studio is in a pretty sketchy area, but Greg's shop is tucked away with plenty of parking right out front. The shop itself is clean and organized. I could tell right away that Greg was a really down to earth and nice guy. My sisters and their husbands were running late and he told me to text them and let them know it is not an issue and not to rush; he was very genuine about it too. The first thing we did was

My wife went for the one day workshop offered by Greg Stefan Studios and this is her summary:
1) Great value. Even better if you luck out and buy the living social promotion before it ends.
2) Workshop was clean and organized (Neighborhood is so-so but plenty of parking right out front). Greg was very friendly, talented, and helpful.
3) You learn a lot, have fun, and leave with a small piece you cut, sanded, foiled, and soldered yourself!
4) Pieces he had displayed in the studio were gorgeous.
5) Small touches like offering bottled water and flexible workshop times made this a standout experience
