I have been attempting to get someone to respond to me about the refund of my security deposit since 12/30 (25 days ago). They claim that there was damage done to the door of the bedroom we stayed in - I have photos from right before we left that show that the door was not damaged at that time. Yet no one at First Accommodations will respond to my repeated emails and calls. If there is an issue, I would at least expect them to answer my calls and try to sort it out. What is it going to take for you to respond, First Accommodation?

We were discriminated against. One of our party is hearing disabled and uses a California certified service animal to help him hear phones, door bells, smoke alarms, etc. We were told if we needed to bring the "animal" they would cancel our reservation. They stated this was a private residence inferring that because of that, they could discriminate. In reality, the unit is listed on VRBO (and failure to accept service animals is against their policy) and it is listed on this website making it a public rental. The hearing disabled guest was forced to miss the first day of the rental while looking

Lake Tahoe is one of our favorite places to visit. We had plans to stay elsewhere, but had to cancel due to Covid. I took a chance and contacted First Accommodations, hoping that they had availability at a late notice. They did and recommended a unit perfect for our family of four. On the day we were to arrive, Trent reached out to let us know that they had the unit ready early! Unfortunately, we weren't able to take advantage, as we were stuck at a road closure due to fires.

My family and I were planning a trip through First Accommodations scheduled for mid-late June to stay in the Lake Tahoe area. Due to COVID-19, as the state and county are not allowing vacation rentals, we had to cancel. Other companies I have dealt with canceling trips due to COVID-19 have been completely understanding and have not charged a cancellation fee of any kind. First Accommodations has decided to charge us a significant cancellation fee and I am extremely disappointed in their customer service.

If you are planning a vacation in the Tahoe area, First Accommodations is the "Go To" place! This is the second time in the last year that we have gone through their company. We are normally hotel guests, so this process was different for us. We have been to the Tahoe area a number of times, so we knew ahead of time what the area had to offer us in the way of recreation and dining, but unaware of this "home away from home" lodging. Needless to say, we were pretty green at all this.

**GUESTS BEWARE**
Nightmare in Tahoe…I never write reviews but after what happened to me and my friends staying at one of First Accommodation properties, I think that all guests should be aware of this horrible experience.
I always think good of people, but this company kicked us out of their house as if we were rats, aggressively, rudely and leaving us in an unbelievable situation for all of us. We had to leave the house we were staying for a winter weekend a Saturday at 6 PM, nowhere to go, close night and 25 F.
The owner of this company received a message from our neighbors saying that

Avoid this company if you want to have peaceful holidays. Worse customer experience ever. The owner of the company is very rude, and talks to you in a disrespectful manner whenever you try to solve an issue:
1- They do not allow Emotional Support Dogs. I rented through Airbnb which specifically states, in accordance with the law, that all hosts must accommodate emotional support dogs. This guy was very rude and said they dont - they shouldnt be on Airbnb if they do not follow their rules.
2- Their wifi didnt work. It took us

First Accomodation is easily the worst property management company that I have ever rented from. We had a couple of problems with the rental. We tried calling for assistance. The company closes at 5PM and will not respond to you until after 9AM the following day. Given that check-in time is 4PM, it’s unreasonable that any problems will be identified and called in prior to closing. That is unacceptable and unprofessional. I called twice and never heard back.
