This company has no integrity in the way they do business. They operate under false pretenses by stipulating things on their rental contract that they knowingly will not fulfill. It also appears they are affiliated with other companies or operate under other names because I rented the vehicle through ride-now-rentacar, charges for the rental reflected on my credit card as ride-now-rentacar, however, the rental contract reflects Ausby Car rental. I picked up the rental on 12/6/21 at the Irving, Texas location and returned it on 12/7 before 7pm when it was due back. On the day of pick up, I was charged

Terrible car rental company. Very little transparency or visibility into your booking and service line constantly redirects or gives the runaround. Still have not received my deposit back from a rental made on 11/22/2021 (45 days later). Spend the money and go with a reputable company - the hassle and confusion is not worth any amount of money!! Avoid at all costs

If I could give them -5 stars I would... Waited 35 minutes at the airport after he told me he was on his way, put me in a 2014 car with over 140,000 miles on it and service light on, now I'm waiting over two weeks to get $150 deposit return and keep getting excuses and told to email the company. This place was a few dollars cheaper I would sooner spend three times the money and have a safe dependable car then the POS they gave me. Renter beware!!!!

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Via Kayak, this company appears as "ASAP Car Rentals." The fine print isn't something I would consider "clear and conspicuous." In mileage, I was charged an extra $156.00.
Other concerns: No front plate. Expired tags. Discrepancies in fuel and mileage out. Not a car that I would consider to be particularly well maintained.
Read the other reviews. Is there a recurring theme? Draw your own conclusions.

OMGGGG, please DO NOT ( I repeat) DO NOTTTTT rent from here. These cars are so OLD!!! I rented a car an it had 100,000 miles on it. It was dirty inside, smelled like cigarettes, the plates were expired, the heat didn't work just overall terrible for a rental. It looks like it's the owner old car that he turned into a rental. The car kept jerking etc it's NOT SAFE FOR ANYONE! Just go to a REAL RENTAL COMPANY!

I rented a car 10 MONTHS AGO and till today I have not gotten my deposit. After numerous attempts to get a hold of them, I received an email saying "The previous business was bought out so we do not have access to your old accounting information".

I first noticed the company on Kayak as it was the one to rent out cars the cheapest. They were initially listed on Kayak as Ausby Car Rentals (ACR). But I didn't go with them as they had bad reviews. A few months later when I traveled to Dallas again, I saw it as Agency Car Rentals (ACR) and tried them. They charged my card once I reserved the car (other large car rentals charge your card only when you pick up the car). A day later they charged a $150 refundable fee, which i have never experienced with other car rental brands. This fee is for incidentals such as toll fees, etc.

THEY STEAL. Horrible experience. They picked me up at the airport and took me to a hotel lobby to do the transaction at a table with a laptop. They charged me a $150.00 deposit and never returned it. I wrote them and called them many times but they just ignored me. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CROOKS. Everybody should file a claim with the BBB (better business bureau). It doesnt take long. Let's shut these thieves down

This car rental also goes by Agency Car Rentals DFW. We rented the car in March, and it is now May and we still have not gotten the $150 security deposit back. I have called and emailed them with no response! I really wished that I looked at the reviews before hand. Overall, the whole experience was pretty sketchy, but I thought I was getting a good deal. Unfortunately, this company is a SCAM.

DONT DO IT! PLEASE! I'm still in this dog house for booking this company for my wife and kids! Booked a car for 5 people. Guy shows up driving a car for 5 people! They can't all fit with the driver! Plus we had 2 baby seats and suitcases! Driver didn't even offer to help! Car was old AF!
And we never got $150 deposit back! This was August 2018!

They are a "flashy" Second chance car lot. Newer mdels, mostly. They seem to specialize in certain PT Cruisers, Tahoe 4x4's, things like that. These cars are very clean inside and out. I actually test drove a Jeep Cherokee and it seemed "better" than the modek I was driving,, my husband liked the one after that. My one major concern is this spot does not seem to care whether thet wait on you or not! You can ask for "help" you might get a question answered IF you can get oe of the TWO guys to even pay attention!

I should have checked Yelp prior to booking through Kayak, but I did not. A very shady experience overall. The car was obviously old, had stained seats, bald tires, terrible brakes. But I only needed it for a day and figured I'd just live with it.
I was surprised to see that the odometer only read around 36k miles. Upon closer inspection, I realized that it was in fact tampered with and was more likely 196k miles (see photo attached).
To top it off, I never got my $150 refundable security deposit back. It turns out that this seems to be a common issue, based

I actually reserved a car a year ago and then had to cancel. My money was not refunded but I was told I could use the funds within a year. Ausby made good on their assurance and I rented a car last month. The manager picked me up at the airport and drove me to the rental location. The car was new and was a good fit for me. Four days later I returned the car and was driven back to the airport to catch my flight. I felt I got good service and a good car.

If I could give a ZERO I would. I rented a car in August at DFW. They charged the so called "refundable" deposit the week before I was supposed to pick up the car. I picked the car up at a hotel outside of the airport (sketchy). My reservation time to return the car was originally set up at 11am and when I picked up the car they told me I had to have it back by 6am. No one answers the phone or responds to emails. Needless to say, I never received my refundable deposit back nor an explanation as to why I did not. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY! Pay the extra to go with a reputable rental company on airport

This company is completely fraudulent in that they collect $200 USD on your credit card as a hold and refuse to return it to you after you return the vehicle. They did not disclose that this hold will be taken and they have offered false confirmation numbers to suggest that the funds are being returned and now three months later...nothing.

I wish I had read these reviews BEFORE renting from this company. I am still fighting to get my deposit back as well which btw - I NEVER received anything stating they were taking a deposit in addition to the cost of the car. They told me 10 days and when I call...they say - they are closed. I have also asked 4 times for a receipt so that I can submit it to my work and NOTHING!!!

I rented with Ausby because Kayak quoted a rental for $92 and everyone else was $300, so I rented with them.
The first odd thing was that my confirmation email asked me to reply with the security code on my credit card. Not going to do that; it wasn't a problem and no one hassled me about it.

Ausby Car rental is a scam. First of all, I booked a car to pick up from the Airport in Dallas, TX, then a guy came and picked me up in the airport and took me to a hotel 5 miles away from the airport to pickup my car. It turned out that I had to return the car to the same location and take a shuttle to the airport 3 hours before my flight because there was just one shuttle every hour.
They also charged my credit card an extra $100 as deposit and promised to refund me once the car is returned, but they never did. This is obviously a fraud and I am going to dispute the transaction.

Fantastic customer service! This company truly has their act together and cannot give enough compliments. We needed a rental for business while in Tulsa and when the big rental companies did not come thru, Ausby did and beat the competition with price as well. I truly recommend to anyone that needs a rental and you will not be let down!
