Evanston Awning Company is a charter member of the Industrial Fabrics Association International, and Ed Hunzinger is a certified Master Fabric Craftsman through that association. Ed is a past board member of the Awning Division, now known as the Professional Awning Manufacturers Association (PAMA), and past president of the Mid-America 8 Canvas Products Association now known as the Midwest Fabric Products Association.
Ed remains active in both of these associations, and his wife, Ann, recently completed an extensive term as a director on the MA8CPA PAMA board. These associations have established industry standards and guidelines, in which the owners of Evanston Awning are proud to have helped develop over the years.

Evanston Awning Company has been a family-owned business since 1931, and is the only direct successor to Hunzinger Canvas Products formerly of Chicago, Illinois. Edward Hunzinger, Jr. has been president since 1981, and became owner in 1992. His family history in the awning industry dates back to the mid-1800s and he is proud to say that we are "one of the top awning companies in the Chicago area."

Had Evanston Awning recover 3 awning frames on my home in Rogers Park. Daryl was very pleasant to deal with. After I contracted them, I needed a modification on one of the frames due to having me having a new downspout installed and they were able to execute the change without hassle. Also, when there was a delay in shipping my chosen fabric to due mill problems because of covid, Evanston Awning went out of their way to provide me other other options. Overall, great customer service, pleasant to work with, and high quality workmanship. Very pleased.

Evanston Awning Co have done a great job for me twice now. Both times in situations where the professionalism of their crews made an impression on the jobsite. Great looking work done on time and on budget. Working all over the country it's a great relief to see a site address and know right away that the awnings won't be a problem.
