Jacquelyn Brooks Designs invites you to an evening of fashion benefiting Haile's Angels pet rescue. Come out for a couture runway show complete with adoptable dogs gracing the catwalk! Haile's Angels is a non-profit organization that helps unwanted animals find forever homes. Haile's Angels goal is to help adoptable animals from being euthanized.
Gala for the arts is the first annual black tie fundraising event to benefit Rocket for the Arts charity. Rocket for the Arts seeks to produce resources for visual and performing arts programs within Alachua County, promote the arts and art education, and provide materials, research, and support for the next generation of artists.
Janeen brought a couple wedding dress ideas that she had found online to my studio. We took the concepts she liked from each dress and came up with a final dress design. The result is in the beautiful pictures above taken at her wedding last winter. One of my favorite features about her dress was the ruffled skirt.
When Heather came into my design studio she was looking for a nontraditional wedding dress design. She wanted something very unique and had a distinct vision. She gave me a picture from a magazine of a gown she loved as a starting point for me to gain inspiration. From here I was able to use my creative freedom to come up with a final wedding dress design for Heather.

I had my wedding gown altered with Jacquelyn and she was absolutely wonderful! I am under 5ft so the detailing on the bottom of the dress and train had to all be removed and reapplied! It looks simply flawless. On my first fitting visit, she made sure everything looked right, and offered to add some small details to make it easier to get the dress on and off for anyone having to button up the back of my dress. She also added a bustle to the dress, and it looks like it was always there! Jacquelyn was so thoughtful and professional, she made the experience so wonderful, especially during covid times

Jacquelyn Brooks tailored my Indian wedding dress and it turned out absolutely stunning! When I first ordered my dress from overseas, it did not even felt like my wedding dress, I had received the dress and it was several sizes up. I took it too Brooks and she took on the challenge. After the first fitting session, I could see it was indeed my wedd dress. As a bride, I felt like an Indian princess from a fairy tale! Thank you Jacquelyn Brooks!!! Jacquelyn redesigned my mom's wedding gown for my wedding and it came out amazing! I had a vague idea on how I wanted the updated dress to look and Jacquelyn had great suggestions to make my dream dress. She created a new look all the while keeping as many of the original components to the gown as possible. Jacquelyn was very professional and it was great working with her.

Jacquelyn's attention to detail is phenomenal! When she designs a dress using her own fabric designs, no detail is left out- the front and back designs line up absolutely perfectly. I've purchased game-day dresses from her and have had the same dresses for years and they still look brand new. When she alters my clothing, everything is perfect as well. I highly recommend Jacquelyn for clothing design and alterations- best in town!

I had a fantastic bridal experience at Jacquelyn's! I needed major alterations to my Justin Alexander gown. It was beaded and had a scalloped lace hem that she was able to shorten and reattach the scalloping. The results were perfect! You couldn't tell the dress had been altered. Jacquelyn was able to shorten the dress length without losing the scalloped edge and tighten the bust area without losing any beading. The bustle was beautiful as well and she went over how to attach the pick-ups after the ceremony with my maid of honor. I highly recommend her for your wedding gown alterations!

I took my mom's wedding dress to Jacquelyn and had it completely re-designed. She did an amazing job turning the idea in my head into the perfect wedding dress. The dress was almost entirely made up of delicate lace and she handled it with great care.

Jacquelyn did amazing alterations and modifications on my wedding dress! The dress fit absolutely perfectly and wouldn't have been the same without her help and determination to make it exactly how I wanted, no matter how challenging the reconstruction was! I am so appreciative for her helping me to have the perfect dress. I highly recommend her and will definitely be bringing my next alteration needs there!

I have brought Jacquelyn a few heavily beaded gowns over the years and she always does an exceptional job hemming, altering and making my gowns look perfect for my various events. Jacquelyn is always able to finish my gowns within a reasonable time frame and has even hemmed an intricately beaded gown in less than a week! Her prices are fair and reasonable and she responds quickly to emails. I refuse to take my gowns to anyone else in town as Jacquelyn always does a fantastic job!
