Jensen's Excavating was started in 1975 as Richard Jensen Hauling and Excavating in South Haven, MI. In the early days of the company Rick Jensen, along with his wife Sandy, and Don and Rob Mielke worked to grow the company in the South Haven area. The primary focus of the company during those years was on residential construction.
In 1985 the firm was incorporated as Jensen's Excavating. Throughout the 1990's the company grew with more employees and started recycling concrete and asphalt for use as driveway material. Expansion continued in the 2000s with a relocation of the operations to commercial property and adding sales of precast concrete products and construction supplies.

Jensen's Excavating has provided residential and commercial site work in Southwestern Michigan since 1975. We offer excavation, grading, drainage, underground utility, and septic installation for both new construction and renovation as well as sand and gravel products. Jensen's Excavating is a licensed septage hauler (# 80-24) and has the ability to pump your residential or commercial septic tanks. Tanks should be cleaned every 3 - 4 years depending on size and usage. Having your septic tank cleaned on a regular basis helps to ensure you get the longest possible service life from your sewage system.

After talking with several excavating companies, we chose Jensen's Excavating for our septic project and I'm so glad we did! Todd, Bruce, and team are outstanding to work with. Our septic was installed last week. The project was very successful, and Jensen's is extremely professional and genuinely cares about their work. I've already had neighbors stop by and state they're extremely impressed with not only the work they did, but the care and cleanup of our property afterwards.
