Service guys shows up to the house for a clogged toilet asked if the toilet and without checking anything he said it was going to cost $1800!!! Said he had to remove the toilet, etc... My son (37 yrs old) told him that was too much. The tech said well there's option B for $700 (less involved). My son said that's too much. The tech said "there's option C for $300" which consisted of just snaking the toilet, which is what was initially expected. My son said we thought it would be closer to $200 to unclog/snake a toilet. The tech said he had to call his supervisor. Goes outside comes back in a few

He got the job done, but after he finished, he asked me for duct tape. I didn't have any. He taped the hole he made in the pipe with packing tape. HE QUOTED $275,BUT THEN SAID THE JOB Would be BE $375 BECAUSE THE septic TANK WAS FAR, however, he never located the tank, and the simple snaking he did took him about 10 minutes. the job was quicker then he thought he was gone in 30 minutes. Leaving a really bad taste in my mouth about scamming the extra hundred from my mom. LATER, HE CALLED, ASKING US TO WRITE THE CHECK OUT TO HIM,personally, AND NOT ROTO ROOTER. I wanted to subtract the extra hundred
